Hi All, I just finished installing a Demco baseplate on my 2023 Hybrid Lariat, fits great. Also installed the Demco Stay-N-Play supplemental braking system. Went with the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar, Roadmaster diodes and battery charge kit. The Demco braking system is not variable or progressive, the brakes are either pedal to the floor, or off, which is ridiculous. The G-force box adjustment knob does not adjust braking pressure, it just delays the over response, you can either hear the Mav tires skidding 100 feet before a red light, or 20 feet before, but they will skid. At its default of 80 psi, the system is way too much for the Mav as the power brakes are active when the Mav is in neutral tow mode, unlike most towed vehicles which the Stay-N-Play was designed for. After google searching I added a pressure regulator and brought the pressure down to about 30 psi which seems to work better. That said, it is extremely convenient to just flip a switch to activate the Stay-N-Play system rather than hooking up a physical braking system on the floor. I can attach and detach the Mav in just a few minutes. I also installed a Bullet Proof Diesel GMRS antenna for the 50 watt under set radio. 25 pics attached. #demco #bulletproofdiesel

Not an RV guy but seems like a lot of risk and wear on the drive line when you can get a car hauler that will haul the mav and work as a trailer to use with the mav for under $4k ?

The extra weight of a trailer will put many owners over the rated towing of their rv. What are you going to do with the trailer once you arrive at an rv park? Are you physically able to attach and remove heavy loading ramps for a trailer? Are you ok with the extra time to hook and unhook the trailer after unloading the Maverick and then taking it to somewhere you are allowed to store it while at rv park, then coming back to set up rv?
There is a reason over 90% of RV's flat tow a toad behind them instead of a trailer or tow dolly. OP has an issue with the brake controller that I suspect is due to something needing adjusted or installed differently. After that, all will be MUCH better than using a trailer.......

Ken...Please post the remaining photos, as I am in the middle of this install myself. I like how you set up the safety lines, and how you connected them. Only difference is I have the Air Force 1 braking system to install.

That is the reason I installed the RVIBrake Shadow braking system as it has a setting for Hybrid electric brakes... https://rvibrake.com/collections/braking-system/products/rvibrake-shadow-flat-towing-braking-system
@tabrewer Not to hijack this post but can you show pictures of your install? I have a hybrid being delivered any day now and I am about to pull the trigger to order the parts needed for flat towing. There seems to be little to no documentation on installing a shadow unit in the Maverick. I agree it sounds like the RVI brake system may be best suited for the Maverick.

I know nothing about the installation of that system. So please feel free to correct me!
But the mounting point of that cable onto the brake lever is almost down to the pedal. That would allow MUCH more braking force to the wheels of the Maverick when the braking system is applying normal pressure to the air cylinder to pull on the brake lever. Moving that up would greatly reduce that force in my opinion. I have never seen one mounted that low on the lever, even using the Ready Brute II system and other cable operated brands. Mine is no more than halfway down as I recall and that is where the instructions show to put mine. Just food for thought.....

For some reason this site won't let me upload any more pics. I must have broken a rule.

Just to avoid any confusion, the pic you are referring to is for another system from another poster. Not sure they are have overpowered braking problems that I am.
