Are you using a DC charger or just a direct line? You should have a current limiting DC charger to charge the battery in the Maverick while flat towing. The line itself would then be sized for the charger you are using.
I have now done both. The bottom line to me is how easy it is to flat tow my Maverick. It can quickly be connected, put in neutral tow, or disconnected. If it wasn’t for the camera I wouldn’t even know it’s back there.
Please share your install details. I think someone needs to design and 3d print some short of backing mount behind the light to the bumper so the light can point straight ahead.

Two bucket method for me. Quality car soap only. Soap gun to make sure there is plenty of soap on the car. Deionized water for spotless wash. Turtle Wax hybrid flex spray for a final wax as you dry step. Comes out show room appearing every time.
I like the idea of the brake light on the dash. To take that one step farther, how about using a wireless switch to indicate when the factory brakes are applied? Tie it to wireless relay with a light on the dash of the coach.

Thanks for posting this as I feel the same way. I have a Lariat hybrid on order replacing my Lincoln Aviator for the same reason, I need something to tow behind my RV!
