It had to happen. My ’24 is throwing its first fault indicators. Two warning banners have cropped up together on the dash display. The first tells me that my pre-collision system is unavailable. The second states that the front camera requires service. Has anyone else come across these two? What was the resolution?

Were you driving in inclement weather by chance?
You might says so. I was in the middle of a car wash when I first noticed the warning banners.

Was your mirror install tapped into the camera or the dome light?
I haven’t done the mirror exchange. I did drop the dome light housing to run a mini USB cord to my Front dash Cam, but did not tap any of the wires located there.

Did they go away ? Could be car wash related .
I concur the car wash is likely at fault due to timing. But how is the question. Where is the “front camera" Located?

Camera is located in the windshield above the rear view mirror. If looking from the outside there is a cutout in the black windshield trim.
Can also be affected by heavy rain, snow, lots or bugs (or just a perfectly squished one.

Anything blocking or disrupting the camera's will cause that. Sometimes enough windshield fluid will, bugs, debris, snow etc etc.

It was the car wash. You are fine ;)

No not anything yet in my 2024 tremor...

I just got the front camera fault on my 24 hybrid Lariat. No cruise control, lane centering, auto braking, etc. No idea what happened. Truck has never seen an automatic car wash, it wasn't raining, and I have done no electrical modifications.

This morning, the dealership where I bought my Maverick showed up in my driveway to drop a loaner vehicle and drive off with my truck. I was totally surprised as I had only called them two days before asking for a service appointment to deal with the front camera issue which is also apparently associated with the pre-collision and lane keeping faults. I also have begun to receive the all too familiar “deep sleep” indications.

They actually offered me an appointment a day earlier that I had to decline. The dealership is about 25 miles from my home, so their offering, without being asked, for a home pickup and loaner was totally unexpected. This same dealer had no dealer costs added at the time of purchase.

I checked in later with the service manager for the status of their troubleshooting inspection. After apologizing that they had not yet gotten to it , he stated they are backed up and my truck was the fifth hybrid Maverick awaiting service. All have similar complaints with apparent battery problems. He also stated that with the 12v not holding a charge appropriately, many sub-systems go haywire. I have to say, so far, I’m dully impressed with the dealership. Now, if they will only solve the problems with my truck!

Well this is just making me plan to swap out the battery immediately for one of the agms.
