I took delivery of my 2024 Lariat Hybrid yesterday. I ordered it on July 19 2023 so about 9 months. I appreciate all of the posters here who helped me understand what was happening with production and delivery. Thank you.
I previously was a Ridgeline owner. I have not had the Maverick long enough to provide a comparison between the trucks but will post in a few weeks.

Congrats. You will definitely be buying less fuel. Can’t understand why Honda doesn’t do a hybrid.

Honda COMPLETELY f'ed up when they came out with the CR-Z hybrid. It was basically a replacement for the CRX, which as a gasoline engine got insane gas mileage in the upper 30's, and 40's certainly wasn't unheard of. With the CR-Z you had a hybrid that got a paltry 38mpg and sat two people. Pointless vehicle that definitely deserved to be wiped out of the Honda lineup. Honda needs to bring back the CRX as a four-door hatchback that seats five, but with Prius gas mileage in the upper 50's. Winner winner chicken dinner!

Hey Joe!

Congratulations on finally getting your Maverick!

Now that you have it, perhaps one of the first mods is to add a Maverick Truck Club decal so you can properly “represent.”

Two styles/sizes available:

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Glossy) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($5 delivered)

Maverick Truck Club Decal (Transfer) | MaverickTruckClub - 2022+ Ford Maverick Pickup Forum, News, Owners, Discussions ($6 delivered)

Me neither. The Ridgeline has a few features that are fairly unique. But the gas mileage was in the low 20's. A major reason to switch for me.

I will add pictures and do an initial comparison review on a couple weeks.

Here are some first impressions.
Maverick Hybrid is already much better on gas.
The fit and finish is better
The sound system is better
The bed cover is much better quality
Seats are more comfortable
Controls are easy to reach and pretty intuitive.
I like the seat heaters, heated steering wheel and heated mirrors.
The Maverick is a bit shorter, lower and narrower than the Ridgeline. I see this as an advantage although I understand that others may not agree.

The Ridgeline had a unique tailgate. It is a lot like the old station wagons as it opens normally but also swings open from the side

The Ridgeline has a lockable trunk in the bed. It holds a lot of cargo. The Maverick seems to have much less storage.

The Ridgeline comes with AWD as a standard. The Maverick Hybrid only comes as FWD. I live near Buffalo NY and in the past I have found little difference between AWD and FWD in winter conditions. 4x4 is superior in deep snow but the roads around hete are usually plowed within a few hours. The type of tires is more important to me. Of course I learned to drive on a RWD pickup with bad tires so my view may be different. AWD is likely better for off road but I rarely go off road.

Overall after one day I feel that I made the right choice for me.

Thanks for your first impression. I'm not debating, just questioning or trying to understand your post. One of the things you mentioned is the truck is lower. All the information I have is the Ridgeline is 7.9 inches and the Maverick is FWD 8.3 and AWD 8.6 Tremor 9.4 inches of ground clearance. So are you referring to ground clearance (Lower) or lower bed height making it easier to load or remove or lower easier to enter or exit the cab. Again just wanting a little clarity by your meaning of the Maverick being lower.

Sorry. I should have been more clear. I was actually thinking about the view out of the windshield over the hood that seems to be lower. That is, looking out over the hood it feels like I can see more. This could be due to the hood design, overall height of the front of the hood or some defect in my perception that provides an illusion of a lower hood. Thanks for pointing out the issue with my wording. I can see how confusing my original statement is
