Got my Maverick cleaned up for the first time in while (no time to clean and shine wheels unfortunately) and took some pics of the truck and have some recent mods. Had ceramic coating applied to the paint, front window tint (best upgrade for the amount of improvement for the money in my opinion), and installed the Gator SRX Rollup Tonneau I ordered from RealTruck on Black Friday.

Love the ceramic coating - good at keeping the truck cleaner and makes it easier to wash and towel dry. Put my Farm Bureau rebate towards getting this done and very happy with the results so far. Just find a good local detail shop and see if you can make it work - local place I had did a great job - Dry Ridge Detailing in Dry Ridge, KY for anyone in the area looking for a place.

Opinion on window tinting above - best bang for the buck in my opinion - same guy who owns the detailing shop owns a window tinting business down the road and took care of both at the same time...couldn't be happier.

Gator SRX Rollup Tonneau is nice...still getting some leaks around the back window mostly but haven't had an opportunity to troubleshoot it yet due to weather. Pretty happy with it so far given that. the look of it is a definite improvement over the Amazon one I had on my previous Maverick. Picked it up for about an additional $80 with Black Friday sale discount; the quality improvement is noticeable, the aesthetics are vastly improved and the lower profile alone was worth the upcharge to me. I really wanted a rollup hard cover, but couldn't justify the additional $1,000.

Need to get my Rokblokz installed next.

Looks great. I am still deciding on if I want to do ceramic coat or maybe PPF. How long did the ceramic coat take?

I dropped it off one morning and picked it up the next evening at close. Said best to give it 24 hours without getting it wet afterwards. PPF is many times more expensive I think. Plus I like the look and shine of paint without the film personally.

PPF is for rocks and scratches. From what I found, I could repaint the hood and front bumper for less than the PPF would cost. So I elected to DIY ceramic which came out amazing. I used CSL right after delivery. I clayed and used an iron remover (made a post on here about it) and then applied CSL per directions.

I top with Turtle Wax ceramic as a maintenance topper every few washes. That is a little harder to apply as directions aren't as good but a quick youtube session will get you going. It's cheap and does go on fast after a wash/dry of your car.

Is PPF really that expensive. I has been years since I have had it done but it was only a couple grand from what I remember. Granted it was on smaller vehicles

just curious, how much did your ceramic coating cost? I have seen variety of prices.

It won't cost a couple grand to repaint the bumper and hood. They can both easily be removed. I had two doors repainted for $800 as an example.

Yes PPF is very expensive especially when you consider vs. the cost of the Maverick. I could see having it done on a 100k car though.

That’s 2/3 cheaper than I found anywhere else. What state are you in?
KY. Prices are all over the place for sure. I am sure there are different brands/products, but I know several people who got one at the same place and they do good work. Great guy is owner too and came with 5 year warranty. Have to go back yearly for a booster application to maintain the warranty, no idea what that costs. Figured it will get a good cleaning if nothing else, so probably worth $100.

I was quoted $2,500 for PPF (full front end package which includes full front bumper, full hood, full fender, and both mirrors)

Yeah. For that I could respray any rock chips. I could also wrap it for less if I bought my own supplies.
Went with ceramic coating to make washing easier.

That's my plan after getting my truck last week. Seems like $500-$600 is the going rate for ceramic around me in Michigan.

Depends on what coating you get and what surfaces you cover. I did the wheels and windows as well. Plus it came with a 7 year nationwide warranty that also shows on Vin reports like carfax.
