Not sure how that oil sensor works. My system showed 100% after oil change. I wonder if it needs reset by the tech or if it resets itself.?
I believe the oil life can be reset via the menu on the steering wheel menu. May want to check that it was.

We have talked a lot about Engine - which is important. How about changing Transmission, PTU and Rear Axle at 10k - 20k miles. The PTU and Rear Axle are about 1 qt. each end the Trans is drains out less than 5 qts. - low cost protection in my opinion!

Mine is getting changed at 4400 miles, based on oil life monitor. I idle around a lot, live in the deep south.

I envy your resource, lol.
They were my customer when I worked at Mercedes dealer in wholesale parts. I gave them concierge service for years. Now they let me use a lift for self service on mine and family’s cars. Very thankful…😎

I did my first EB change ~3,300 miles and do them at 5,000mi now. I've let exactly one engine be totally serviced by the dealer only at recommended service intervals and it is also the only engine I've ever had fail prematurely at 60,000 miles.

Makes me wonder if I had done it myself if it would have had a different outcome.
What brand vehicle/engine did you have that failed at 60,000k?
I did my first oil change at 2500 miles (XLT hybrid). Will do the next one at 6000 and then the next at 10,000. After that, every 5000. I only drive 5-6k a year so I'll be comfortable with a yearly oil change. If I was driving over 12k a year I might extend changes to 6-7k.

It was the ill-fated 2.0L Hyundai GDI engine in a 2014 Tuscon. I was having a lot of back problems when the wife bought it and wasn't able to maintain it myself. I let the wife and dealer handle it. Oil changes were not done regularly and after having some shady dealings with the dealership I wonder if they even changed it half the time.

If it's the stealership in NWA that starts with letter C, you have good reason to wonder.
