Hi everyone,
I am working with Military Auto Source to buy a 2024 Maverick Hybrid XL with Co-Pilot 360. They quoted me:

- Price: $23,715
- Hybrid: $1,500
- Co-pilot: $649
- Owner Protection Plan: $2,367 ( 7 years/75000 miles warranty)
- Destination Charge: $1,595 ( dealer fee : paper work, clean, full gas tank.....)
- Delivery Point Processing Service: $300

Military Incentives: $500 OFF

How can I negotiate down the price?

I’ve seen some comments here and on Reddit that people paid around $23k - $25k OTD (include tax, register, title…).

EDIT: this is custom build. Delivery date estimate Mid August 2024

First thing I would drop is the extended warrantee, get a quote from Flood, or Granger. That alone will save you over $1K.

You have a 5 yr/60k mile powertrain warranty. Basically paying for 2 years and 15k miles of coverage.

While I agree with all the people here about Granger/Flood for the Ford ESP, will your truck stay stateside or will it be shipped abroad? The Ford plan is only good in North America.

Delivery point processing is what is paid to the dealer to prep your vehicle for delivery. This is all the dealer gets for taking care of our military customers.(full tank of gas/cleaning/paperwork).

This is complete BS. What they "get" is the profit from selling something, just like any other business. This is an attempt to pad their profits. Documentation fees are pretty common, but are not required. Your choice on if you pay it, try to negotiate it off, or go to another dealer that doesn't feed you BS lines about "all the dealer gets".

BTW Y'all, MAS doesn't have any dealerships- the $300 dealer fee may be what they pay to whichever dealer the customer picks the truck up from and handles the paperwork.

The MAS model is not a bad deal on vehicles which regularly sell for over MSRP. But for regular vehicles you could probably pay less at other dealerships.

Same here. XL Hybrid, cp360, hitch. 27,660 - farm bureau$500 and - rollover private offer $2750. $24,410 barring any surprises. All I need or want.

How did you find such a price? I am still contacting several dealers near me, 24 Hybrid + trailer hitch option called 28K~31K in Houston Tx.

You would need a time machine to duplicate the price. Private Offer is money from Ford for orders that were not fulfilled during the model year of the order, example you order a 2023 and it did not get built, Ford offered Private Offer to cover all or part of the price increase from 2023 to 2024.

Order from MAS and decline the protection plan or work with a dealer. I believe Granger Ford has a few allocations left, they are a sponsor here at MTC and offer below MSRP pricing from time to time. You can find their current offering by contacting them. I believe current is $1000 under MSRP. You would have to travel to Iowa to pick up the truck when it was delivered.

Yes, for 23 orders from 23 and there were an unfortunate few that ordered 22 and did not get built in 22 or 23 so they have Private Offer for their 2024.

Exactly. These are bullshit dealer upcharges. Also, full tank o' gas is supposed to be included at no up-charge.

My '23 XL Hybrid with nothing but CP360 added was $23,339 OTD. Only fee was $129 doc fee. Of course, a '24 should cost more (most all new vehicles have gone up), but not much more.

As for extended warranties, if you want to add one, you have a year before the prices go up on those. Buy a FORD warranty directly from Granger or Flood online. The Hybrid part of the truck includes an 8 year, 100k warranty from Ford - no additional charge.
