I picked up my Maverick today after ordering it in July. At the start, Ford was pretty good in updating me with emails about the status of my truck. The last notice I received was a built date of Dec. 2 with an estimated delivery to the dealer by the week of Dec.19. After that, I had to go to the order tracking website to see if there were any updates. The estimate delivery did change once to Dec.28. Around the 28th, the order tracking website indicated the truck was at the dealer but I didn't receive any notification via email from Ford. After contacting my sales rep, he verified the truck was in and was being prepped for me. Today, Jan., 3rd, I signed all the paperwork and drove the truck home. I haven't driven it much but the first impression was very good. I was surprised how quiet and peppy the hybrid was. I'm sitting down now trying to learn all the configuration and preferences. I love the truck but two things sort of bugged me. The display was just ok. It was a very sunny day and the infotainment display washed out (hard to see detail) in the bright light. The other was the drive mode defaulting to "Normal" after every shutdown. It would be nice for it stay in the last selected mode. The truck does make clicking noise after shutdown, but I guess this is normal. Overall, this will be a fun truck to have. The Maverick is a well thought out design with good economy that meets my needs.
