Hello,

I just got my new Maverick and am waiting for the Ford Pass Points to hit my account -- Trying to figure out what to buy with them. At first I thought heavy duty floor mats, then I realized I couldn't wait a month for those and ordered some just this afternoon from Rough Country.
My next thought is the Ford Dashcam they offer (https://accessories.ford.com/dashcam-140-dash-camera-1), and then have it installed at the dealer.

45,800 points for the Camera, and 19,200 for the Install, so I would have to pay out the difference of like - $115 give or take, I don't see many other options that I like on the website.
  • What did you buy with them?
  • Would you buy it again?
  • Suggestions on what to get?

Thanks! Have a great day

Congrats on the new truck . I just picked mine up last week. I used my points to get the Hybrid Maverick branded floor mats. It used almost all of the points. I spent $10 to have them shipped. There were some other nice things but the floor mats are the best investment for me at this point. My wife still has her points and doesn't want anything... I might have her order something else for me.

Might have to go with a backup set of floor mats lol
Use one in the winter and one in the summer combo lol -- Going on a ski trip well before the points will hit my account, definitely not rolling without floor mats, So I had to bite the bullet and order some from Rough Country.

Yeah I'd use them for accessories you need to get at Ford anyway.

Look into other aftermarket floormats in case you can find a set you like better than Ford's for cheaper.
I'm going to use my fordpass points on a spoiler or oil changes.

I got the FORD PERIMETER PLUS VEHICLE SECURITY SYSTEM and the TRAILER HITCH RECEIVER with mine. Both were with my second Maverick, so I had 84,000 points, plus points from getting the Ford Visa. Had to end up paying a little bit more for installation, but not bad. For what it's worth, I bought the DASHCAM WITH REAR-FACING CAMERA BUNDLE which I believe is the same one you're looking at but with the rear-facing camera, which I would recommend with any dashcam. I'm pretty pleased with it.

I got the dashcam too. I figure I'll install it myself though. I also got a hood deflector on the same order though the points didnt quite cover it.

I will have to try and find out just hoow to install that camera though. Somehow it plugs into the power system in that box behind the rear view mirror which... likely pops open somehow?

I’m not a fan of any “stick-on” accessories. I don’t want that glue residue on my truck.

I think I will go with AER because it mounts to under-hood points.

Went for the tailgate light bar. Used up the 42,000 points, plus I had to shell a buck twenty-five out of pocket. I think it installs plug and play using the taillight wiring. I haven't opened the box to see if instructions are included, but hope it'll be easy enough that I won't have to pay a stealer for installation.

How long after you picked your truck up did it take for your points to show up and did you just have to keep looking in the app?

This comes in a little over the points at 51,800 points.
Basket

Can't say that I would use it very often, but it might be handy for those occasional needs, (camping trips, etc)
