Check capitol ford or Sunnyvale Ford, both not too far
Ended up driving to Turlock (1hr 45min) bc couldn't get anywhere closer. Nice drive. Ended up spending $190 for the DIBL installed (including points and Black Friday discount). Worth it!

I've got points. Accessories sale on effect. What are the most worth it items? I was thinking a mat for the bed.
My only Ford accessory I've purchased is the BAC 2 hard roll-up bed cover. Great product. Same product, by BAK, online, w/o the 'Blue Oval' would have saved me $300; but, the heart wants what the heart wants, lol.

I highly recommend Rough Country for the bed extender, the bed mat and the tailgate assist. The Ford OEM bed extender has a shape that is not as user friendly as the one from Rough Country. They have great customer service.

I also just ordered a BAKFlip MX4 from Realtruck. Got the free Lund bed extender and in the chat, I asked if there was an additional discount available for being a MTC member. I received another $80 off just for asking. Cris B. was very helpful and you can ask for him.
did you receive your bed extender and install it yet? I'm noticing I don't have the same mounting hardware as the Ford branded extender. Check out my thread here: https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/f...der-bracket-i-might-have-the-wrong-one.42715/

I already planned on getting a trifold tonneau cover from my ford dealer (at the time I ordered the truck it was a constant constraint item) but I believe they say the bed extender ford sells is not compatible with the trifold installed? Like you I find the shape of the extender concerning but I wonder if a 3rd. party extender will fit flipped over or hit the wheel wells? I just assumed the odd shape of the extender sold as a ford accessory was to avoid the wheel wells.

Whatever the heart desires that the wallet can afford lol.

The question is: What don't you have that you want. Then prioritize.

Floor mats, wind deflectors, bed accessories.... So many. FITS... if you are into that sort of thing ;)
Well said! Although I ordered my truck with almost everything, the tailgate assist was a simple need for me.

I received it about 2 weeks ago and my Maverick just came in last week. I was disappointed that it wasn't the one I had expected so I googled "Lund Universal Bed Extender" and looked at it on Amazon. The reviews state that it is basically for a full-sized pickup and won't work even on a Colorado or a Ranger. The warning below even displays on the item's description page......

"Frequently returned item
Check the product details and customer reviews to learn more about this item."

I have not even opened the box yet since I don't hold out much hope for it (plus I've been busy installing all the other things I had bought). It may end up being gifted to a friend with a full-sized truck.

If this is true I'm very disappointed in real truck. Why would we want a bed extender that doesn't fit our truck? If I had known this it may have caused me to make a different purchase decision.

after looking at the model number on the box I see what you are talking about and I think you are right. this thing won't fit a maverick. I can't believe real truck would bother offering this thing as a "bonus" with a product made to fit the maverick. my mistake trusting they'd be offering an accessory that actually made sense. I'll see what Lund has to say I guess but they really don't owe me anything. Realtruck on the other hand....

Yes, I too am disappointed. I was hoping to see if anyone else that took advantage of their special promotion had a successful installation of the bed extender so thanks for reaching out to me. I plan on contacting Real Truck this week. I had been singing their praises to friends. That may change. please stay in touch regarding this. I’ll let you know if I find out anything more.
