signal light recall

I received my signal light recall notice from Ford on Monday. Called Sam Galloway Ford in Ft. Myers Fl. They advised me that they have a mobile van that can install the update and that van will come to me. They set an appointment with me for Thurs. They arrived on time and the update was completed in 20 minuets. What great service especially since the vehicle was purchased in NY. Very impressive service.

I had to drive 13 miles to my dealer and wait 35 minutes. i think one should get some Ford Points for the trouble and expense.

I have a Wednesday appointment at my dealer (45 minutes away). Said it'd take about an hour. Be my introductory visit--first since I picked up my Mav in Houston (3 hrs away) in November. A 20 minute update would be great.

I only scanned the letter, didn't read the manual and don't plan to, but it sounds like if one of the two rear turn signal bulbs fails that entire turn signal won't work. Could that be right? It seems like the other bulb should still blink. In any case, I'm going to wait until my next oil change.

No. It's that the dashboard/audio indicator doesn't flash faster when only one bulb burns out.

We got the recall for the emissions. Before I called, I checked for any other recalls. Found the one online about the signal lights. Called and asked for both. One week after both were done, we got the recall notice on the signal lights. Wife gave me a high five for catching that one ahead of time.

I received my recall notice by mail today for the turn signal recall . Nothing on my Ford app. 2023 XLT built dec 28, 2022 .
