After waiting 18 months, I am excited to have picked up my 2024 XLT Hybrid this past weekend. I am starting to add some basic organizers/accessories and would like advice on the best soft tri-fold for the bed.

My Maverick will serve many purposes for my family. My wife purchases and flips furniture so there will be hauling items in the bed. We also travel occasionally, have landscaping we maintain, haul our bikes to trails for rides, etc.

I am looking for an economical soft-top that I can take on and off depending on our needs. For example, I want the top on for road trips as we would throw luggage in the bed, but then want to be able to take it off without too much hassle when we need to haul larger items in the bed. I am ok if the cover I get is not 100% waterproof, I expect by needing easy on/off for the cover I will sacrifice tightness in the seal.

When I ordered my Maverick, the Ford Soft Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover was $500+ and that was too high in my opinion. Here is the link to an option I am considering. It has some good reviews, at least two video reviews, quick-release clamps, and a great price-point.

Before I purchased this, I wanted to reach out to the forum. I appreciate all advice, recommendations, or feedback. Thanks guys!

Amazon.com: Tiptop Soft Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover Truck Bed for 2022-2024 Maverick 4.5ft Bed (54.4") | TPX3 | : Automotive

I did read some other posts in the forum, including the Tonneau Cover Buying Guide. Creating this post for any advice to my situation and feedback on the item I am considering buying. From other posts I saw some preferred the TPX3 brand that I listed in comparison to other brands like the Tyger.

I have posted on a number of threads that I have, like, and recommend the Tyger.

At the time of my purchase I was not aware of the Tip Top. Looks pretty good and quit a bit cheaper.

Good luck with which ever you choose.

After quite a bit of research, I settled on the BAK BAKFlip MX4 trifold hard tonneau. I ordered mine on Amazon. It came quickly, was packaged extremely well and was easy to install. The installation instructions were excellent, and it took me only an hour or so to install and adjust. I've had it on the truck for about two months. It is well made, fits perfectly and has, so far, been nearly 100% waterproof. I'd recommend it.

I had a Extang Trifecta Signature series (soft tri-fold) on my F150 that I really liked, so I got the same for my Mav. Again, very happy with it. Super easy to R&R, pretty much rain-proof, fits/looks good. PM RealTruck, a vendor here, for a good discount.

I am looking to place an order with RealTruck. May be a dumb question, but to PM them for a discount coupon is done how?

I have had a tri fold soft top from Rough Country since last April. It has been a great cover. I'd say keeps the bed about 90% dry. Sometimes there are trickles of water running down the front of the bed if I drive in heavy rain. Other than that, the bed stays dry no matter the weather.

Thanks for the help.

This is what I did. I sent an email to <[email protected]>; saying this.

"I am member 24MSFX4 over at mavericktruckclub.com. Looking to purchase the following.

BAKFLIP MX4 TONNEAU COVER
and
"50" RAILS ONLY" of the ELEVATE RACK SYSTEM.

Hoping to get a discount for the purchase.

Thanks"

I also gave my name and address and phone number.

I was contacted via an email reply in and hour or two. It gave the discounted prices of the two items and said "Let me know if you have any other questions or would like to get an order started! "

I replied saying I did want to make purchase and they replied with this.

"Okay great! To set that up I will need your first and last name, phone number and a good billing and shipping address. Once I have that set up on my end, I will send you a link back to the site for checkout!"

I replied with the requested info then.

I received another email that contained the link. I went to it, everything was already entered so all I have to do was put in my credit card info to make the purchase. Little later I got an email showing an invoice and saying I would get another one with a tracking number once it was shipped.

It was well worth it (good discount) to do this.
