Ordering a set. I agree, these look like a factory install. BTW, can you show us what the on/off switch looks like for these.

I love the look of the fog light kit. Anyone know what splicing into the factory wiring does to the warranty though?

There must be confusion...

The C1 HitchMount Kit included the following functions:

- Red Accent Light (Backlight)
- White Mainbeam

This kit obtains power using a custom in-line adaptor to the tail lights.

There is NOT a C1R option, the red 4th brake light draws to much power according to our engineering team.

The ONLY Maverick model that can handle the C1R is users that have a 7-pin tow package from Ford directly.

I have read all the posts.

I get WHAT you are saying but not the why.

Why can’t the C1R be used with trucks that have 4 pin trailer wires from the factory?

I get “too much current needed” to T-tap the brake lamps.

I get “extra amperage” can come from the trailer brake lamp wire that is on a separate circuit. But that wire is the SAME wire in both 4 pin setups and 7 pin setups. Is it the fact that tapping this wire triggers trailer detection that then turns off blind spot monitor that is the real issue???

Still do not understand what 4k tow package has to do with anything here unless it is just a fluke.

Can you explain being as technical as possible? This is a pretty technical group.

I'm going to guess but plugging it into the 4 pin would make the trailer light module sense you have a trailer hooked up due to too much resistance/current draw which cuts out the blind spot monitor, etc. when towing.
Plugging into the seven pin (4K tow package only) allows the light to get most of it's power from the seven pin's 12 volt charge circuit and just have a sensor wire on the brake light feed to tell the brake lights are on that won't draw enough or have enough resistance to make the the tow module think you have a trailer plugged in.

Fog lights are really cool. Watched the installation video. I think I could even do it. Good excuse to buy an electric wrench. Now yellow or white, yellow or white......

I've spoken with our team it's a mixture of reports of power draw with the C1R and trailer detection depending on the model.

The 6K cool white is a great match to the factory low beams.

The white provides a significant increase in road-legal output due to the width and intensity.

The 3K selective yellow is highly effective in providing visibility fog, rain, or dust.

Some users prefer yellow light output for styling but it is highly effective in the proper setting and less fatigue to the eyes at night.

Here is an example of how 3K selective yellow doesn't refract light in a snow setting with our SS3 LED pods:

3k is traditionally NOT YELLOW.

3k is traditionally “warm white”.

Hell, I have 2700k all inside my home, living room, kitchen.
It’s not yellow.

Selective yellow generates the same energy level but outside the white color space.

I am sorry you are confused about the technology in your business.

To call yellow fog lamps 3000K color temperature is not correct and misleading at best.

In no known universe does a 3000K color temperature look like the photos you provide.

So 3K is just a name. Not a specification. Got it. Maybe a better name could be used?

FYI My kit is on order as of this morning. I went through Panda motorworks. They are offering it for same retail price as diode dynamics and free shipping, plus a gift card for future purchases for MTC members. I went with white light since we rarely get snowy weather that I would need yellow for.
