Today marks 2 weeks and 1 day. I went to Line-x to get the spray in bedliner.
First truck so first experience with such an upgrade, so I didn't know what to expect.
If any one can chime in with what I noticed if it was normal?
-some over spray on to my paint that isn't the bed or the part of the tailgate that needs to be sprayed.
I imagine those parts can be wiped off since the area wasn't prepped for the spray to bond. Goo Gone or alcohol maybe.
-The part of the tailgate panel that they remove, the area where the locking mechanism is located, it seems they sprayed in there as well.
I couldn't key lock my tailgate at first, then it was stuck and can't be unlocked.
Informed them of this then they came over to remove the panel of the tailgate to chip off the bedliner spray that is on the lock.
Will need to remove the panel myself and inspect when I get a chance.
-The part of the tailgate that latches to the bed when you close the tailgate, also over sprays on the latches. Some of the spray was able to chip off easily at the parts that latch on to the bed. Will inspect tomorrow if the other parts of this area is also sprayed and will cause any problems.
-All the rubber grommets(the ones to pass wires through or for tonneau drain holes) have been sprayed on, should i remove them as soon as possible so they don't get stuck forever? Or when the time comes, I just need to drill through those sprayed on rubber grommets.
-Last one I believe is just normal, all the holes(ie the holes for tie downs) are sprayed into so it's just a matter of me tapping the holes when it's time to add accessories. I have an XL so there are more holes that aren't being used yet.
Of course I took care of my Maverick's 6 today, but on the way home something flew and chipped my windshield. I guess I can no longer act like my Maverick perfect and pristine so that it is some weight off my shoulders, because it's a truck and it's going to be trucking.
Thank you for any input. Pics will probably help so I will update when I get a chance.
