Ordered both a EcoBo and Hybrid, EcoB as a company work truck. If the EcoB was 4x4 I might have kept it, but found the AWD of the EcoBoost was just not that more effective where I drive.

After a year didn't need both Mavericks so the MPG and comfort of the Hybrid won, so sold the EcoB. Hybrid MPG is consistently 40-43 MPG. Sport Mode in the Hybrid has not disappointed....Sport mode hauls ass.

Today, Christmas 2023, my MY22 hybrid is 14 months old from the day I drove it off the dealer lot. The only issue I have had is the deep sleep mode, which the dealer said I have to drive my truck more. In 14 months, I only have 3600+ miles on it. Would I buy it again, YES!
Now, if we still lived in northern Michigan, I would have went with the AWD ICE Maverick.

Hell Yes!
So far, I have had both and another one on the way. First new vehicle(s) in 20 years.
I would most definitely buy a Hybrid again (and will). Can't wait till they have AWD HYBRID. Add Pev to that for extra creamy bonus 👍.
Sorry to all the folks that have had negative experiences. I have been a FORD fan since I restored my first Mustang Convertible (I have restored several). Ultimate goal is an AC Cobra (Polished Aluminum). I bleed Blue Oval.
Have an Awesome Holiday season everyone!

Yes! If the refresh next year has a lot of new stuff like an AWD hybrid I might trade my 22 in for a 25!!
In 2021, I ordered my Hybrid the first week Build&Price thread for the Maverick was available. Build&Price allowed me to place an ordered for a Hybrid AWD and Ford accepted my order. Two weeks later my dealer emailed me that Ford had decided to not proceed with production of Hybrid AWD since the road testing of a Hyrbrid AWD showed added weight and loss of MPG make it compared to the EcoBoost...Ford Marketing had decided to not continue a Hybrid AWD, and got my permission to change my Build&Price order to a non-AWD Hybrid. My Dealer suggested things may change but not anytime in the near future until new engine and battery design addresses the issue.

Yep, but at 2000 miles now it’s acting weird. I think it’s those damn upgrades! Goes in for its first recall Wednesday

Yes.

There is still zero competition for the Ford Maverick Hybrid.

I love the high mpg (avg about 38-39) with the upgraded AT tires (Falken Wildpeak Trails in 225/65/17).

I am very eager for the new Toyota Stout Hybrid
(Or whatever Toyota releases to compete).
Would love the reliability known for Toyotas versus Ford.

All the Ford recalls so far and random check engine lights are luckily all non critical issues.

However, if there was a serious issue or critical recall, I would be left up the creek from Ford Service with smiles on their face and their middle fingers happily waving at me.

Timely service from any Ford dealer in my area does not exist (San Antonio, TX area).
I have tried so many times with multiple Ford dealers and just gave up.

Despite my attempts to get the recalls done and check engine light diagnosed, none are done and there is no ETA at all.

So, a Ford warranty or extended warranty is effectively useless since I can't use it, even for the recalls.

Knowing all this, I still love my Maverick Hybrid.
2022 Hybrid with almost 42,000 miles.

But, I can't wait to see the new Toyota truck for a possible swap.
If Toyota is similar (hybrid, around 40mpg, maybe AWD or not), then I'm switching.
I called the dealer for my one and first recall, they said tomorrow??

Yes, as the entry level engine/motor on XL trim which '22 was. I'd call that a loss leader worth grabbing.

First hybrid, first truck, and I'd have to say Yes. It's been a great vehicle for the last year.

I go to the gas station once a month - that's definitely part of the convenience. I'm sure I'd enjoy driving the Ecoboost too, but I'd lose that convenience.

Yes. I have a 2023 XLT Hybrid and am trading it in for the Lariat (2024) Hybrid that I ordered in September 2022.
