Just found a show on HULU called Dirty old cars. They look for cars to clean up in an XLT Maverick! Going to watch the first episode now. LOL.

Jeez, that takes me back. The "Business Coupe" had no back seat, just a long, open space. It was for traveling salesmen who could completely lay out and sleep in the rear. Man, there can't be too many '38 Chevys around!!Dirty cars? How about my 1938 Chevy Coupe?
Or the Studebaker Champion behind it.

Yup. We used to go to the drive in movies with an old mattress in back. We would park "backwards" and watch the movie in comfort. I got the car from a junkyard. Put three junk yard motors (at $25 for the first one, no cost exchange) before I found a good one. In those days, any high school kid could change an engine in a few hours.Jeez, that takes me back. Yep, in the 1950's, a trip to the junkyard was a lot of fun. Get a better price if you bring your own tools and take off the part yourself. I was shocked to visit a junkyard 40 years later and find everything computerized, already taken off the cars, and highway robber prices. My first trip to a JY was in the 10th grade: I started to walk and the owner yelled "Stop!!' I did, and a huge dog on a logging chain leaped at me, and JUST ran out of chain. He would have bitten my head off; I don't know if my Dad could have sued if it killed me. It turned out that he kept the dog chained during the daytime, but let it roam free at night. To this day, you mention "junkyard dog" and I get asthma!Yup. We used to go to the drive in movies with an old mattress in back. We would park "backwards" and watch the movie in comfort. Not only do they drive an XLT Maverick but in the first episode they clean up a neglected 1972 Maverick! Thanks for the show suggestion, I never knew this show existed. This is the problem with streaming sites, there is so much content that doesn't show up as suggestions on the main page. So unless you know a show exists you'll never see it.Just found a show on HULU called Dirty old cars. They look for cars to clean up in an XLT Maverick! Going to watch the first episode now. LOL.
