Locking doors

My drivers door just locks on its own. EX: drive into the garage, I get out and I come back and it is locked. Anyone else had this issue? Solutions?

Do you have a Lariat with the keyless entry? Pretty sure that's expected behavior.

I have the Lariat and it doesn't do that. There are settings for door locks, I'm pretty sure I've seen them but never have changed them.

I have an XLT. I've been locked out four times now. Once it locked as I grabbed the door handle, I got it passed the first notch but not the second

I don’t think it should lock on its own when you walk away. That is not one of the features.

May be part of the keyless system to lock and unlock. Can be turned off in the menu settings under locks

I thought I was having the same issue, but figured out that when I open the door I pushed it open in the wrong area which locked the door. Not say that is what is happening to you. I now just make sure not to push open by the lock. Hope that is all that is going on.

The driver door on my XL has a mind of its own. I lock the doors by the lock button on the driver's door when I leave the truck. Once I close the door, I always try opening the latch. Half the time the door is locked; half the time it is not. I have no idea why this happens. I am guessing that it has to do with whether my left butt cheek or my right butt cheek is the last to leave the truck.

I think what often happens is people either pull the handle too quickly (not delaying long enough) thus thinking they are locked out OR when they shut the door they inadvertently touch the lock button not realising they just locked the truck. These touch points are very sensitive.

Assuming the drivers door is locking because you bumped the lock button exiting the vehicle than why isn’t the passenger door locking? I can open the passenger door but not the driver’s door.
