First off hey guys! Loving the truck so far I’ve had it for a month now and just hit 500 miles and still have not put gas it it!

Anyways I’ve ordered a digital cluster for the Maverick from the escapes and wanted to know two things if anyone has any info on how to get the miles to match my current one please let me know! Or do I have to send it off to be done. (I’ve found one guy who’s website says $190 to complete) Second. What settings do I need to make sure I copy over in forscan I know the ipc is definitely one I should backup and make sure I save but then how do I sent the as built to the new one? Do I just plug it in and send the settings etc? New to forscan and everything so please bare with me but I am ready to learn!

I believe your mileage history is a function of the ECU, not the display.

It's a function of both. The ipc does not automatically populate mileage based on ECU mileage so it would need to be manually adjusted.

Bringing an IPC with a lower mileage reading up to actual mileage on your vehicle is easily done with Forscan. If op is trying to lower mileage on an IPC to match actual mileage of a vehicle there are only a couple of vendors out there capable of doing that as it cannot be done with Forscan

Inferred mileage monitor in the ecu and it may void your warranty beings it wasn’t done at a dealer.mileage and vin #’s are no no’s from what I remember

As someone who has replaced their IPC and had warranty work performed afterwards I'm going to say this is borderline fear mongering. There's not really a blanket void of a warranty.

Hey guys thanks for all the reply’s. So update I’ve found a vender who is willing to match the miles to my actual trucks miles which I have not sent out to be done yet so for now I am manually keeping track of miles but with that said the I stall was a success. For the most part literal plug and play.

My initial experience was great and still is I love the display way better than the prior one. But with using it for a few days I realized it was missing key features like disabling my lane keeping (could still be done from the switch on turn signal) but editing those options for it were impossible as well as starting a call or changing a radio station from cluster all until I carried over my as built from my prior display. Once moved everything everything is working flawlessly. All aside from the drive modes… you can change the drive modes while in ACC mode but not after entering drive which I find odd but I rarely use them anyways so for me not a big deal but if fixable would be great. Also the traction control button does not work as far as I can tell. I’ve tried pressing or holding and it does nothing which is odd but once again I never turn it off so not really a big deal.

I do have some DTC’s but nothing that has stopped correct function of vehicle just some to do with the tank signals but it still reads an empty tank and full tank fine. I just filled up from empty so I know it works and estimates correctly my miles until empty.

in terms of voiding a warranty I do work at a dealer and having spoke to many so long as what I am doing is not the cause of an issue there should be no issue if something needs to get fixed under warranty.

next I am interested in adding sync 4 with Sirius radio function and am hoping that I’ll also be able to enable turn by turn for the digital display and maybe traffic sign recognition as well with that.

overall I am very happy I was originally under the impression I needed a high trim display however after doing research I realized that any 2020 escape that’s a hybrid will have the display also so those were much easier to find. I found one from a wrecked 2020 escape hybrid se. For reference the power display on the right works perfect with the engine and battery. I just wish there was some other view when on calm screen such as the newer displays have.

photos attached are right after install before as built settings were transferred. After transferring the hill decent imagine on the right has gone away which is fine but it was nice to have to see when I was regenerating. If anyone knows what to enable to re enable this please let me know!

I think the issue with the fuel level is that the escape has 2 fuel level senders and the computer calculates fuel on 2 combined resistance readings. The maverick only has one fuel lever sending unit thats combined with the fuel pump. I think someone fixed it with jumpers/resistors on the back of the IPC. Youll need to look at the pin out for the Escape IPC.

Oh okay very interesting yes I am getting errors for the fuel level sensors but it’s not reporting incorrectly on the cluster as far as I can tell. I went from 50 miles until empty to 0 then drove to the gas station and filled it up and it now shows full tank and around 500 miles until empty which is typical for my driving habits. I still need to send it out for the mileage adjustment and the guy said he could attach my vin to it as well not exactly sure what that would change.
