Mustang Scoop as a Cowl???

Had this '05 Mustang scoop in our shop for a while. The more I looked at it the more I wondered how it would fit. Didn't really like it in the "scoop" position so I spun it around and have it mounted as a little power bulge

Wouldn't be on my mod list, but as long as you like it that's all that matters. The mat black on the hood I would be ok with. I just never cared for fake scoops myself. It doesn't match the matt black on the hood. If there was a way to make in blend like a factory bulge and not have that "add on" gap would improve the look greatly imo.

That does look awesome. I don't know if I would do it because I would force myself to cut the hood under it. Looks killer though. How about that sticker and stripe setup? Where did you get that and do they have it in something with more color. I think it would be real cool in the Tremor orange middle with oranges and yellows fading into my HPR.​

Non-functional hood scoops or cowls are a no go in my book. I'm a function is form type of guy. With that being said, cut the hood under the cowl and do something to the motor to need that extra space. Then it will be cool It doesn't look bad at all though, just don't dig non-functional add ons personally.

No, it's taped, not bolted.

Even just vent it for more heat extraction is good enough for me.
