I don't think so. The Maverick has smaller windows (new cars have higher window sills for safety) and the bed sides are higher. But in width and length pretty similar. My Maverick next to a co-workers 2 door Ranger. Think his is a 2006.

Really not much bigger over 20-30 years. Consider the original mini truck, the Crosley truck from 1947-1952. It was 49" wide, fit 2 people. 80" WB 145" long and weighed 1100 pounds! It had a 44 cubic inch engine with 26HP.

That's wrong. It's "whoever smelled it dealt it" implying if you are complaining about a fart smell you are probably the one who let it out. I also heard that a smelt is a fish from some guy.
Who would complain?

These buggers had a cylinder head and cylinder block made out of sheet metal! The lower crankcase was made from cast aluminum. Not the most durable design.

These buggers had a cylinder head and cylinder block made out of sheet metal! The lower crankcase was made from cast aluminum. Not the most durable design.
Surprisingly, they held up well. Crosleys were the first with 4 wheel disc brakes.
