I purchased PowerBass OE65C-FD - 6.5" Ford OEM Replacement Component Speakers - Pair from Amazon as I read they are plug and play. I just finished installed the door speakers and they truly are plug and play. Now I'm moving onto the tweeters and I'm a little lost. They came with an adapter, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with the stock speakers.

I've come across other threads where people said it was super easy install. This is my first time ever installing speakers, so I imagine I'm just missing something.

Link to the speakers below.

This is the plug that goes into the stock tweeter.

Two wire to each of them? Cut the adapter and splice them together directly.

Those most likely have a built in bass blocker/crossover built into that line. That's what that box thing is. You'll need it otherwise you'll blow up your tweeters.

Interesting. based on everyone else's feedback these were supposed to be true plug and play.
Sounds like it may not be the case.

The front door speakers were truly plug and play. However the tweeters don’t seem to be.

Door speakers are plug in play. Tweeters have an adapter but drop into the factory location. The main issue people have with tweeters is that many aftermarket ones don't fit without some modification to the tweeter, truck, or both.

These speakers still accomplish their goal of greatly simplifying the install process.

Tweeters are where most of the improvements are heard so I'd install them if I were you.

I have the same speakers installed. Tweeter wires included worked perfectly. Maybe they gave you the wrong set.

Mine included an adapter, 100% plug and play.
