Did they change the cargo rail bolt size?

I bought a pack of m8-1.25 x 30mm bolts and they don't fit into the side rails of my '23 XL to attach new tie down anchors. That's what everyone says to use, so am I missing something?

Did you thread tap the holes??

More likely the trim level .... not sure the XL had all holes tapped ... present but not tapped/pre-threaded.

I know the floor isn't tapped, but the four where the sliding track would be on higher trims supposedly are tapped and I can feel ridges when I stick nail in.

may need to tap M6 1.00 threads - see what the currently attached anhors use. use length of 24mm 'bolts'

It looks like the spray bed liner got into the threads, so I guess I'll tap the threaded ones too and try not to mess up the threads.

Any tricks for that?

Used a tap to chase those threads and now I'm good.
