at 30 days most states let you force a lemon law buy back, not that that's very helpful in our constrained supply condition.

Update: Axles replaced, took 6 weeks to get the parts. Finally feels like I can drive it without breaking something. I was able to drive 3k miles after they diagnosed it, but it was rough.

Not thrilled with the service writer who handled it, but at least I know what to expect from them now.

The big question, are they now using upgraded parts, or replacing with the same crap?

I am worried and think my axles are shot too - 22 xlt hybrid
in parking lots ill hear creaking/popping etc and when turning around 25-30km/h it almost feels like the wheels are skipping/bouncing lol
i have aftermarket 17" rims so gonna wait until i put factory rims back on for winter and ask about it then

Mine were replaced around 20k miles and are already failing at 37k miles. I do have a 1” lift and 255/60/18 tires but after reading this thread it seems like more of a design flaw to me. I’m hoping it falls under the 60k powertrain warranty?

After 19 months and 45,000 miles, I started to get the shake when accelerating. Stock Hybrid XLT. Took it to the dealer and they want to replace both axles BUT they are back ordered with NO idea when they will be back in stock.
I asked for a loaner car but the dealership only has one and a waiting list for it. I don't think i want to drive it for fear of a CV joint giving out while on the highway.
My extended warranty covers a rental car for only $50 a day up to $250, doubt the parts will be in within 5 days?!

UPDATE: dealer suggested I call Ford to ask them to pay for a rental, which they will. I called and got a case #. They will pay for a rental for restrictions and limited time but you just have to keep asking for extension. Soon after i was given the case # parts that had no arrival date because of back orders started to show up at the dealership just waiting on one more axel.

I am in the same situation - still waiting on the left axle shaft. It was ordered on October 5th. The dealership ordered both front and left but only the right came in and the left shaft on backorder. I've already called Ford, received a case number and a rental. Very frustrating to say the least.

Most of the people who experience this issue are driving bone stock trucks. It is a legit issue, some sort of defect in the shafts (either material, design, or manufacturing).
Let's hope it's some limited batch of bad parts, kinda like the bad batch of valves that impacted 50 or so bronco owners with the 2.7.

It's not. It's ongoing issue since start of production. This along with draining batteries are probably the most common issues.

Axles fall under power train warranty I think but battery is 3/36 unless some hybrid component causes 12V to fail prematurely then it might be the 8/100.

I’ve been waiting for a month, my dealer has the truck because the vibration is so violent, I won’t drive it. Ford agreed to a rental for 30 days. I’m not real happy right now.

Yeah, I'm in the same place. No loaner, the issue is getting worse. At the beginning was only when I pushed it hard, but now it always happens in the 50-60mph range, and then again while passing cars at speeds higher than those. I opened a case with Ford but nothing different from what I get from the Dealer. They even told me that keep driving the car was my choice, which I know. The only problem with that is that I can not afford my Maverick and a rental for months. Updates from the dealer are also pretty bad, I have to call them weekly and not always I get an update.
I would be more than ticked off - Ford should be providing a loaner since it is their fault....If it gets desperate you may have to persue the Lemon Law in your state.

If I were making monthly truck payments and not have a ride it would further tick me off.

Call Ford directly, get a case # and ask for a rental car. I did and they gave me $60 a day for a rental.
