Is there a reason to not use a single bolt D ring on the floor locations?

Apparently it's hard to find the 2 bolt D ring keepers with the right spacing between the holes for the floor locations on the XL (which only comes with untapped holes there) and the pack of single bolt D ring anchors I'm buying for the sides comes with more than I need. For that matter, I could just throw them on the top back by the tailgate, too, instead of the non-folding brackets that come standard on the XLT.

Basically, I want to put these rings at the 'E' locations on the walls and floor instead of these other types.

There is nothing wrong with using the single bolt d-rings, but they typically don't have as much load strength as something that has two attachment points. There are some off the shelf two bolt attachments available that line up, you just need to search for them.

Read the manual about how to secure loads so you know "some" limitation. I'd be careful of warping the bed if there's a ton of weight shifting....

that's what I did I like them I had them turned but they rattled so I turn them now they don't rattle 🪇 I got the v-rings that they looked Cool

i did put a robber o-ring to center of the v-rings to keep the bolt in the center and works Good

If you use single bolt ones just make sure you use all of them for anything heavy to spread out the load.

Those are gonna chip your paint over the next couple years. If you are in a area where rust happens, I would simply paint the area around them with a can of white bedliner paint. Just pull em off tape it off and done. Should only be about 1 can, $20 to make your bed last longer and not look much different than it does now.

Thanks! that is a good idea, not sure if I live where we have a rust problem, but I will keep an eye open for any rust.

Best to watch for the paint chips then coat it before the rust. Could also put some foam tape strip under it to reduce rattle and chipping.
