Tourqe on android auto

Just read this article about getting tourqe to run on Android auto. Looks beyond my capabilities but figured I'd share it. Seems like Goggle will support zoom and webex voice only but we still have to jump through hoops to get it to display torque with its customizable gauge layout.

I've wanted this since I got my Mav. (I've had the Torque app for a long time). The only other issue I have is that my OBD reader stays on and can drain the battery if the car leaves power to the OBD port. So I'd have to unplug/plug the OBD reader, unless Mav shuts power to the OBD port when the truck is not in use.

Yes always wondered if those things drew power all the time. Wonder how these insurance trackers work.

I have the ScanGauge.

The scanner device is smart enough to shut down / go to sleep in 30 seconds or so after you shut the truck off.

I "think" OBDII goes to sleep if there is no activity. But lots of things can wake it up. Opening a door can wake it up for example.

If there is chatter (data) flowing the OBDII "may" stay powered up indefinitely. IDK.

Cool I have a scan gauge 2 have not used it in the mav. Would rather be able to use torque.
