One day I am gonna get a solar panel on the roof of my topper and install a battery and inverter in the bedside void outside the cubby. Then put outlets in the cubby.
I had that same thought, I was wanting to put the rails on the topper when I get it made then get some sort of luggage rack that I can put the solar cells in to provide some protection and a mounting point then wire a LiFePo4 battery system (~4-5+ KWh depending on cost) to it and then have both 12V and 120V outlets. I would probably want to have a couple more solar panels that I could put out when the truck is parked for camping and such.

Thank you, I forgot about the interior outlet and it makes sense the inverter is near it in the interior and closer to the 12v battery, then 120V wiring to the bed outlet. For DIY I might look at putting an inverter in the bed, but that will need a heavy gauge 12v run.
So In the hybrid I have seen in mine voltage as high as 15.2 and understand it could exceed that. Considering that will it be hard to find a pure sine inverter that does not have a high voltage input cut out higher than max possible in the hybrid???

Yep same here. Doubt I will use lithium as they are harder to get on island. Unless I retrofit something like my ego tool batteries. I will probably pair a couple small lawn mower sized batteries and just keep it floated up with a maybe 10p watt panel. I don't really ever get to camp more than 2 days max so it's really just for picnic power at beach days.

Remember, 12 volt to 120 volt is not an efficient conversion. Loses between 10-20%. So 20 amp fuse with 12ish volt battery is only 240 watts and 80% of that is only 190 watts. Even if your inverter can go higher, you will pop that 20 watt fuse. If you want more power, put the inverter next to the battery and run the 120 volt power back to the bed.

When I built the power pack for my telescope, I bought the battery off of Alibaba and it took 3 months to get, but it was less than half the price of a US seller. Didn't like buying from there, but my budget couldn't justify that big of a price difference.

This beast will run the camper for the night, well most of it, and the CPAP.

I installed a 110volt jumper so I can lock it up while using it.

Check your CPAP, a lot run directly off of 12 volt. Some CPAP makers offer plugs that go into 12 volt power plugs. You can run your machine longer when you don’t have to convert to 120 volts just to convert right back to 12.

Hawaii just doesn't let you ship lithium batteries. Unless they are part of a bulk commercial order. A few eBay sellers will sneak ya one but other than that it's tricky.

It's finding the right part for this machine, VA doesn't care about our convenience, machine is running at 24 volts. It's how the Bluetti power pack is located, 12 volt receptical is in the way of several functions, it's what I can do in 47 square feet of space. Your family bathroom is about the same size as our camper.

Just brainstorming. Wondering if anyone has rigged up a pure sine wave inverter into the bed cubby? Curious what the included wiring is capable of handling. I have a small 400w pure sine wave inverter I'd like to install into a cubby. It can also plug into a 12v automotive (cigarette lighter) plug, but only puts out around 150w that way. Direct battery connection will put out the full 400w.
That's the same thing I did. I purchased one on sale at Walmart. It was less than 20 bucks period I purchased a little switch panel with a 12 V outlet and a couple. U s b outlets and three switches Which I have yet to install.

The Lux Package bed inverter outlet is wired to the same inverter in the center console as the in-cab outlet.
This got me thinking. Since I have the factory in-cab inverter/outlet installed, what specifically would it take to add an outlet to the bed?

You could disconnect the C404 connector in the rear beneath the truck and see if pins 28, 29, 30, and 31 are populated. Even easier if they have the C301 connector on the rear harness as well, otherwise you'd just need to add the pins on the rear side of C404 and add an intermediate harness to add the OE outlet. Edit: Although supposedly the C301 connector doesn't have an available replacement (through Ford, anyways)
