Canadian order to delivery wait times

So our Truck was finally built on Sept 13, 2023. Talekd with Ford Chat today, and it appears that the truck may sit on their lot waiting to be picked up for 3 weeks by October 6, 2023. I have to say that Ford has been extremely dissapointing in their service delivery. It is incredible that they do not have the resources to ship the vehicle for 3 weeks.

We're in the same boat apparently. Mine was built on September 5, no update since.

Once my was confirmed (i.e. VIN assigned and date set for production), I got an email from my dealer and suddenly the tracking page started to work for me. Things from there were happening fast - began to build ahead of schedule, built in 6 days, and... now it has been stuck at "Built" status pending shipment for 14 days. So, I'd say, it's pretty limited and selective tool...

Ford is extremely disappointing. I still do not understand why it would take a whole month to ship a vehicle? Do they not produce enough to be shipped to Canada?

Although on the other hand I have seen other vehicles shipped to Canada one day after they were built here. It is quite unfair to have your truck collecting dust for weeks. I am extremely frustrated with this process.

Mine was built September 11 and awaiting shipment. The tracker has not updated in over a week. It’s also being shipped as CA7M convoy to Ontario.

While I entirely agree with you, after 10 months of complete silence on my order - another three weeks mean nothing. Just like about every aspect of life over the last three years, I decreased my level of passion to a minimum, as disappointment has become a new norm...

I have spoken to my Dealer and once the trucks are shipped they can use an application they have called Vin View that would give them live GPS data from the truck on it's location. The question is how long before it gets on a truck. If it takes until October 6, 2023 for our trucks to be shipped then they won't be received until end of October..

October 6 seems like a long time for our trucks to wait, and it seems like a few people here are in the same boat. I would assume that truck is almost full, and in my case anyway the truck was built within 2 days of going into production.

Ford chat is very unreliable and I’m almost certain most of them are bots. I asked ford chat the same question you did and they were unable to give me a response. I’ve also chatted with “Antwan” in the past and have never received anything decisive as a response.

I see. CA7M ramp as well. What does it even mean..? "CA" for Canada convoy direction, the rest is a physical ramp itself? Nothing about time schedule.
Anyway, I just hope the shipment is not affected by the UAW strike.

I see. So you heard nothing for months after the order then BAM you get a VIN, production date and built all within a few weeks?

not exactly sure. from what I’ve heard about the strike is that GM will be stepping in to support Ford during this time, however I do believe convoy truck drivers are sub-contractors and not directly employed by Ford.

Drivers probably yeah, but pencil pushers in the back office - not necessarily...

Yep. Exactly that. Out of nowhere, after I already gave up and bought another truck (2021 Ranger).

Oh geez. I ordered an Ecoboost XLT. Dealership told me Spring or early summer 2024 conservatively. I might pester them a bit to see if they can tell me Ford at least got the order. They did take my deposit so...

My dealer wouldn't tell me until the VIN was confirmed. Or, to be more precise, he kept telling me there was no confirmation the order was accepted. My deposit was processed 3 days after the order was made, not sure if it meant literally anything.

Mine was shipped 2 weeks ago , its a CV43 and convoy. Maybe smoky and the bandit are bringing it up .
