Got new Maverick Lariat Hybird

I ordered a Lariat Hybird in Sept 2022. I have waited almost 11 months. Truck came in, dealer called me, went in truck was $950 more than original contract I signed with dealer. The only explanation I got from dealer was truck had price increase. I paid for truck and took it home. Is thete anyone I can call to see if Ford will give me the additional $950 I paid?

The first question is did the price increase show up on the window sticker MSRP or did the dealer add something?
Did you get a preview order sheet detailing the options ordered and showing the prices?
Did you get a copy of the window sticker from the Ford online order tracker when the truck went into production and how does it compare to the order preview?
Your dealer should have COVD’d your order and you should have price protection. Some dealers make you pay the price increase and when Ford reimburses them it should then come to you. The typical price increase was about $400 plus $100 increase in shipping.

I picked up my Hybrid Lariart about a month ago and it was exactly what CA dealer quoted last Sept.

My dealer added $950 to my invoice and said it was for 2 things they added. I said no thank you, please take it off, which they did.

The price increase showed up on the window sticker. Yes and I did get a copy of window sticker when it went into production. It was $950 more than the order I signed. The talked like when Ford would give me the difference, but there was something the GM would have to do or sign and Ford would send the money to me. But I really don’t trust this dealer? Only one in my town. Do you know of a number or person to call to find out for sure?

I have had my Lariat Hybrid for 4 months. I am one of the idiots who paid 7K over invoice. I don't care..Love the truck..

Thanks for info. I checked Ford Customer Service is 1-800-392-3673. I called them and she said there was a mid year price increase on 23 Maverick of $100 on freight and $400 on the truck itself. She said in order for me to get that back, i would have to go to the local dealer and talk to them. Since i have a signed copy for $500 less.

I hate to say it but you already agreed to the price when you signed the papers. They probably won’t give you anything. If they don’t try weasel an oil change or a tank of gas. They technically owe you nothing. I know it really sucks but it’s worth a shot. Be nice, calm and don’t threaten legal action.

I will have to be nice? It will surprise me if they do anything. Maybe I can get a few oil changes. We’ll see. I hate it when a dealer had you by the you know what’s.

Unfortunately you didn’t negotiate before signing the agreement. Go ahead and be an disagreeable person but you might rethink that..
