Went out to a local farm this afternoon to get a couple trail cameras out. THIS is why I lifted my truck and run 245/70s. I'm never going to do any hardcore off-roading but even on overgrown two-tracks the extra clearance is very valuable.

The AWD system did great shifting power where needed while crawling up a fairly steep grade, and the Hill Descent Control is a really nice feature on the way back down.

The Gear Pods in my Leitner rack are perfect for storing my pack and other gear.

I also threw in a couple photos of the newly installed Air Lift 1000 bladders in my rear coil springs. In these photos I was parked on uneven ground and you can see one side is more compressed than the other. I think the Air Lift does a good job of smoothing out the ride and providing a little extra support. I notice an improvement even on everyday driving on pavement.

I plan to keep this truck looking like new and relatively scratch free for many years.
I see you omitted rock chips 😂

I laugh because it hurts.....my front bumper is littered with them already.

Fortunately I only have a couple chips so far. But yes get PPF if you reslly want protection against rock chips. Ceramic coating will not prevent that.

I did paint correction via clay bar and then applied my own ceramic coating and wax - and to be clear none of that will really help with scratching either. Maybe the wax.

I passed on PPF. I will fill the rock chips for awhile and then probably give up. Hopefully the paint is now fully cured.

I still park as far away from everyone as I can until I get my first dent, then I won't really care anymore.

This is why I ordered my 2019 F-150 with the chrome package. I know chrome probably wouldn’t work on the Maverick but it’s about the only thing that has a chance of repelling rocks and stuff.
I hate the sound of rocks bouncing off one of my vehicles 🤬

I do! Not to say hunting is a bad thing it was just never my cup of tea....but gardening. Oh yeah! Nothing more rewarding than harvesting some produce grown in the garden.

First harvest of 2023.

Woulda been a shame if some 4-legged ruminant would have come along and chowed down before they were harvested ;)

yeah...huntining. I shot a American Kestrel when I was about 12. with a 22 rifle, took 18 shells loaded through the side of the stock. I took a long shot of a silhouetted mid sized bird. After the hike over to where it lay...I was just shocked at the beauty of it. Haven't shot a bird or anything else since. Yeah, call me what you will..............

Hey, that's great. Personally, I hate gardening. I can't keep up with the weeks. But I do love hunting, and I love to enjoy venison year-round. Your produce looks fantastic!

Well, the kestrel IS a beautiful bird. And not a game animal. There is, in fact, no season on raptors. They are federally protected under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. Not pointing a finger at you. Kids do all kinds of dumb stuff -- me included. I'm just saying that I'm not much for killing for the sake of killing. Nor am I just about the kill. But, if you hunt seriously, as I do, sometimes you do kill, and it is not to be taken lightly. I understand it's not for all, and that's OK.
