On how to work the epaRegarding being forthcoming and transparent to their customers?
Same here - I figure this will translate to about Jan 6 delivery. When I go onto the Ford site and look up my order by VIN it only shows that the order was placed - no update??? I hope that it doesn't get pushed back more.My hybrid original build week was November 22nd, then one day later, the build week was rescheduled for December 6th. I ordered a Hybrid XLT.
Come on Ford. Make an announcement!Since the other thread was locked...probably due to the subject just being a question mark, am starting a new one.
My Hybrid build had a 10/28 delivery date and now today it says N/A. It seems all Hybrids even those built are being delayed.
"Lot rot" is not from sitting In the weather (which is really hot in Hermosillo). "Lot rot" is from not being started or moved for a long time. It affects the bearings, belts, seals, etc.I'm always amused with the desert rot and dirt mountain people who complain that the vehicles are sitting a few weeks, even a few months. So what??? They sit on dealer lots for weeks and months sometimes. I have a 2002 Explorer Sport-Trac that I bought new, so I've had it roughly 19 years, guess what, it's never been in a garage in all that time and it's just fine. Thats 19 years of Midwest, rain, snow, hail, sleet, ice, etc. and its fine.
Ford must know the October deliveries will be held up by the EPA while hoping November will be unaffected.Anyway mine is still showing a delivery date of 11/15
At least their builds seem to have an ETA for most of them, not N/AYeah, the built hybrids will be sitting in the desert with all of the "Desert Lot Rot" Bronco Sports:

Yeah get some UAW assistance. I mean if they can get Biden to blacklist Tesla, they can nudge the EPA.On how to work the epa
As an aircraft mechanic the desert was the worst place to keep a plane. We hated the desert. My reference to the "Desert Rot Lot" was more of a reference to the wait rather than the conditions.
Once in the holding areas, they are are eventually brought out and finished, last in, first out, which makes sense but doesn't bode well for those waiting.
They preserve idle aircraft in the desert. No doubt a better environment than tornado alley and repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Its a new vehicle powertrain launch so the EPA has to verify they emission standards as well as mpg figuresI am not sure what the EPA has to do with delay of building and shipping a truck. Can someone explain?
Is the delay related to a chip problem? That would have nothing to do with EPA. Would be nice if Ford communicated that.
For those with a change in build dates, I suggest calling Ford customer service. It might be a simple error instead of a large problem.
What are we talking here, more than the 4 months they've already had?Its a new vehicle powertrain launch so the EPA has to verify they emission standards as well as mpg figures
Well if you’re looking for a crowd to disagree that the process has taken a frustratingly inordinate amount of time…doubt you’ll find it here…What are we talking here, more than the 4 months they've already had?
If he did…he’d have told us, I’m sure. Doesn’t seem to be the type of guy that would sit on info like that.I wonder if @fordvideoguy Tim Bartz knows anything?
Tim just stated on his last live cast he has been trying to get answers but only hearing it is the EPA holding it up but knows nothing else. Unless of course he heard something new today. I'll ask.If he did…he’d have told us, I’m sure. Doesn’t seem to be the type of guy that would sit on info like that.
