At my dealer I was told I could not take delivery of my Mav with outside financing. So I had to go through Ford or one they provide. Unfortunately APR is ridiculously high right now but I waited this long for it… not gonna let them stop me. Plus I’m sure they wanted to keep it because they kept saying “you can always back out.”
I would have said ok, I'll take yours, Finish the sale, wait a when the first bill came went where I wanted to go and refinance. Nothing they can do to you then.

Had to go by my bank today. Inquired about loan rates and the best they could even do was 7.99. Like I knew wasnt going to be good but dang.
Chase is offering me the same thing about, kinda lame

Your dealer forced you to finance thru Ford?
Never heard of that before.

Yessir. I think this was their way of meeting quita or something. I’m not worried about it because I’ve had mine 19th of July and it was worth it. Either way, I’m refinancing outside soon. Plus either way, I’m one to pay off within a year.

I had a weird experience... was unofficially told it would be around 4.5% for 60 months. 744 credit. I told them, give me 36 months, thinking it would be a lower interest rate. As I'm signing i see 7.5% apr. I questioned them and they don't give a straight answer. Nbd, I'm paying it off at first payment date- but still, these interest rates are bullshit

Wow, I don't even know if that is legal but surely not ethical. When the time came to pick up my Mav the Finance Manager told me Ford Credit could not beat my Credit Union rates and never tried to pull that stunt. Sorry you had that experience. You likely can refinance if you so choose.

Help please! Has anyone gotten a rate of less than 5.04 % when financing through the dealer on their Maverick?
Any local credit union or even bank will probably beat Ford financing. Our c.u.was 2 % lower than Ford.someone might prove me wrong of course.

Our dealer did an application through Ford but wasn't surprised we got a better offer somewhere else. Didn't force us to use Ford though.

Must be nice, this 5% you speak of.

When Lariat finally came with Hybrid (check my location, beetches) I wanted to switch my XLT out for it, but Ford Ca is 7.99 Finance AND Lease! It's insane. As high as 8.49% as well for longer terms.

If you walk in with a check they will refuse that? Sounds what they are saying isn't exactly legal.
