If you qualify for any Ford's partner plans check out the their website. I only qualify for X and it's under $500 for most trims. The profit margins on these are going to be VERY low so don't expect very much. Ford will be making their money on high unit sales and options.

Interesting, it won't let me add the 90K power 8-way drivers seat on an XLT.

Probably why you need the 360 to get the rear window on the xl

Nope, you gotta buy the lux package to get it. Which gives you a whole bunch of stuff that for me is stuff I don't want or need.
So I bumped up to the Lariat to get the power seat, push button start, and some other goodies that I might at least have a use for.
And the Lariat doesn't have all that white and orange in the cab.

Ok so quick question for those that have actually used X-Plan before.... Is that $275 admin fee that is in the X-plan formula extra on top of what the X-Plan build and price shows or does the B&P site take that into account? Basically, should I expect to see that $275 admin fee on the final price breakdown from the dealer on top of the X-Plan Build and Price?

At the bottom of the dealer's pricing print it out, it shows A/Z/X plan pricing. The price underneath X plan will INCLUDE the admin fee. You should not see anywhere else. Remember X Plan also limits the dealer fees to a single <$100 doc fee.

The limit on dealer fees can be quite a bit, depending on the dealer. We bought our 2016 Explorer and the limit at that time was $75. Dealer was charging $699 for 'fees'. :cautious:

I tried to order with Z plan at two dealers yesterday. Both stated it wasn’t an option yet. Hoping they get their system updated soon.

That doesn't seem right. I ordered with X and many others ordered with A. I saw the Z plan price on my confirmation. I think you just ran into poorly informed sales folk.

I just called the Ford commercial truck dealership and they said dealers can but are not because of the chip shortage. They make less money this way. Wonder how far I will have to travel to find a dealer that will do it.

I found another dealer about an hour away and they said they can do it but until it comes in they can’t give me the Z plan price. They said it’s not available from Ford yet.

Does this seem right? From looking through here and Reddit it seems like others are knowing the price when ordering.

Question, do they have to order with x plan now? I thought it was just added when you do the final paperwork when you pickup the car?

Correct...it will be finalized when it arrives but my dealer printed out the order sheet with A/Z/X plan pricing and I signed receipt showing the X plan price minus my deposit.

It's available. It is a standard formula. Even if it wasn't (and it is), the dealer could figure it out with some pretty basic math.

Yeah, this seems like some dealer BS going on.
