Roll Top Tonneau Cover Felt

My Ford guy told the Ford Accessories (that I believe is a third party) that his customer did not want a piece of felt. He told them I wanted a replacement with a newly engineered model. Or a re-engineered solution. They said they didn't know if that was an option, but 2 weeks later, they came back with this new backing. My Ford Guy David inspected it with me as this is the first my he has done and he was impressed with it, as was I.

There is a resolution now (at least I got it today, see my post earlier today. I posted pictures). As soon as I get the paperwork back from Ford, I will post the specifics.

Just spoke to my local Ford and they want to give me the felt which is also backordered. I sent them your pic hoping they change their mind.

Okay, so I got the invoice but there is no part number. I asked the ford guy and he said he never saw a part number either. But that it is the Accessories Department/Team that handled getting the fix. So sadly, I have nothing for yall other than the pictures I posted of the fix from the Ford Accessories Department. I will re-add the pictures here again for anyone that missed them the first time along with the only thing on the invoice.

I just realized your tonneau cover doesn't have a Ford logo in the middle. Was yours not factory installed?

I suspect yours might not be the same brand as mine which is factory installed that came as ordered. I know mine is made by BAK and just rebranded as Ford's.

Did you order yours after taking delivery of the truck? If yours was purchased from the dealership then maybe it's a different brand

Mine is from my original ordered Lariat Lux with black painted wheels and hard tonneau roll up bed cover. Straight from Ford. It has a ford oval on the left side towards the tailgate.

Just noticed... mine did have the logo but it doesn't show it now since whatever they did to fix it. Now I'm confused.

He told me it was a re-engineered plastic piece that they were putting on. If they replaced the actual cover then that was a lie. I mean is the bak revolver better? But still, that's not what I understood to be happening.
