My BOSS MAV,
Hi everyone got my cyber orange a Mavrick a month ago.
From the first time I saw the CO color on the Maverick I knew what I had planned for it.
I've even seen a post where someone else had a similar idea.
The truck is not completely done but I figured I show you all where it is so far.
I have added Raptor spray in bed liner, a hard tri-fold fold bed cover, mud flaps, and hood guard already. I laid out the hood stripe side hockey stripes and did a blackout panel on the tailgate too.
Still to come I plan to spell out BOSS and possibly MAV under it at the start of the hockeystick by the hood.
Much like a BOSS 302 Mustang which the paint job pays an homage to.I also planning to mount a couple of Hella 500 driving lights just above the front license plate.

Looks good. I like the hood guard as possible option for mine. Can you let us know brand, where you got it and perhaps link?

Hi the hood guard I used is an EGR brand 303591 off Amazon. Thanks for the comments.

It was a tough call to go ahead with putting on the hood guard. But it came down to form over fashion aka reducing the chances of paint chips.

Thanks Jerry, for me the stripes not only work with the Maverick's body line's but also compliments the cyber orange color!

Agreed, this is a nice example of how to tastefully modify a maverick imo. It doesn't have the tacky fake hood scoops and janky fender flares some other modified mavericks have had. It actually looks good.

Every hood guard I ever had rubbed though the paint at some point. I'd rather use PPF if I felt the need.

Thank you for the kind comments. I worked with the body lines on the Maverick. Trying to improve on its style, with a little paint.

Hi, one of the reasons I selected the EGR hood guard is that uses 6 metal clips (with included vinyl paint protection). The clips hold the hood guard an inch or so away from the hood. The plastic guard is attached with screws to the clips, making it easy to remove as well.

Hi, those are both great ideas, I haven't finalized my plans yet. I was thinking of the BOSS name above MAV like on the boss 302 Mustang. But the issue I having with that is the space I have above the hockey stripes. Seeing your comments in a continuous string of words. Now what words/ numbers I end up putting with BOSS ____. I think I might just put them side by side. So thank you for you comments.

Funny you said that as my neighbor said something similar "looks like it's going 55 mph just sitting there". Ha ha
