Hi, there are exactly 6 screws holding it on. They blend in very well with the smoke tinted hood protector. I took this picture at night with my garage lights on, Showing one of the screws. You can see the screw in the picture because of the light, I personally think that it's the best option.

Hi I used an EGR 303591 superguard hood guard off Amazon. It uses metal bracelets that hold the plastic hood guard about an inch above the hood and it's removable too as it's attached with screws To the brackets.

I'd say you're right about the color. In addition the Cyber orange on the Maverick is a metallic which gives it a sparkle and a bit of color change as well.
