A storm just set off my Perimeter Plus alarm

Having a good Florida thunderboomer rainstorm right now. Lightning strike near by with a very LOUD boom. It set off my Perimeter Plus alarm. Good to know it works.

Did you get an audible alarm on your phone or just a visual notification. I have an iPhone 12 and when I have set the alarm off, I just get the visual (red dot) in the app that there is a message. I haven't been able to find a setting to get an audible sound. I've looked in both the iPhone settings and the Ford pass settings.

Just visual, not audible. I've got an Android and have tried to find a way in the settings to make it audible, with no luck so far.

I had the dealership install a perimeter plus alarm on a 2023 XL. The alarm works, but I don’t get a message in my FordPass app. Is there a way to get the messages on my phone with an XL?

I don't know. I don't have copilot in my XLT. I added the Perimeter Plus after the fact.

I really don't know. I didn't do anything to my phone or the FordPass app settings, but I definitely get a message. I also had mine dealer installed, so I don't know if they did anything. Unfortunately, no audible alert though.
