FORD PERIMETER PLUS VEHICLE SECURITY?

Does anyone have experience with Ford’s Perimeter Plus security add-on? I was wondering if it would be worth getting for my Lariat. Thanx.

I installed one on my 2019 Ranger and very happy with it. Easy install and if you do not currently have remote start it can be set up by dealer service dept. or ForScan to add that feature if you want. I also added the flashing LED. Mine already had remote start so no visit to dealer. It is very sensitive at the highest setting so you need to experiment with it. if you use FordPass app you can get notified if the alarm triggers as well as the horn honk. You also get a honk when you unlock if it has triggered. My truck had been hit in a parking lot and the person took off leaving a dented fender so that was my main motivation to add the perimeter+ alarm. I plan to install one on the Maverick when it arrives.

If it's the same part as the Ranger, there is a jumper to enable remote start.

I just did on my XLT. I mainly wanted the remote start on the key fob (I never used the app to do so), but the security is a plus. I think it's worth it, even if I hadn't used my points to pay for it.

It’s pretty simple to install for the alarm since it’s plug and play using the factory OBC plug to plug into the alarm harness then install the alarm OBD into the original bracket. The alarm box goes wherever is close and can strap onto a convenient support under the dash or in the kick panel on the left. The light location is wherever can be accessed and seen and requires drilling a small hole in the appropriate trim. The light is optional if you’re not comfortable drilling a hole.

It's already installed, I trying to find out how to get my FordPass app to notify me of an alarm.
Is there a setting that is needed to make it work?

Sorry I misunderstood. I didn’t do anything on the app it just worked without my input. It was already set to allow notifications and I never changed anything.

Guess I'm gonna have to specifically set off my Maverick's alarm just to see if I get a notification in the app.

Been so long since it was triggered I don’t recall clearly but it probably did show up there but initially it sent a banner style alert notification to my phones home screen letting me know it had been triggered. It was very sensitive at first until I adjusted the sensitivity. It was set off frequently by passing vehicles with noisy exhaust (Harley, Unmuffled diesels etc. even 80’ away in my driveway! I’m sure my neighbors weren’t amused
