Got the ford hood scoop and bushwhacker fender flares for father's day.
A work in progress for sure. I was just wanting to leave it stock but now I may have changed my mind.

What is everyone's opinion on the painting the fender flares, bumpers, side skirts the same color of the vehicle or leave them black/stock?

What is done (not much):
Unlocked Eco and Sport mode
replaced all exterior lights with LEDs
BPV delete kit
K&N air filter
hood struts
tailgate strut
hood scoop
fender flares
soft tri fold ben cover

I originally would have said paint to match, but the black matte finish on flares and scoop, don't look too bad - do what YOU think is best, enjoy your truck!!!

IMHO, I think the black is a nice contrast since you don’t have the BAP. Looks good!

l like the black contrast…nice looking rig! One question…have you had any problem with the rubber lining of the Bushwhackers rolling in? I put them on my red XLT and the lining has rolled in in spots, which makes for a bad look. Has anybody had the same problem? Have taken it to my dealer and they tried to reseat the lining unsuccessfully. Service manager said they are reaching out to Bushwhacker for a fix.

I did not have any issues with the fender flares and or the lining.

Where did you get the hood scoop and how much? If you don’t mind. Thanks!

I really don't need to see this stuff; you are enabling my addiction, lol. Really looks cool though :)

I got the hood scoop from ford assessories. with my points and using "honey" on my chrome browser, I think I paid about $150.

Man... That is a good looking truck. I like it a LOT!

Side note: I may be in the minority here, but I would love to see a hood scoop that is functional. I think that would be great. Do you know if anyone has done that yet?

I have not found one just yet. However, if you only used the 3m tape and not clue the hood scoop, you can cut the scoop and your hood and make it functional.

It looks really good with the contrast. I think a flat black roof would look pretty sweet

Or you could paint the whole truck flat black and call it the Murder Maverick

How is the alignment of the fenders and tires? Can you post a picture of the side?
