I’m late to the party but I was completely shocked to finally receive my build date. May actually have my truck in 2023. Can’t wait to start buying accessories and making it my own.

  • Build week 8/21/23
  • 753xx
  • Hybrid lariat lux 360 and 360 assist cactus gray
  • Midwest? Not really sure

To be fair, they have had to make sure every order was valid recently. Wonder if Ford is starting to come down on "walkaways" to combat dealerships who put in orders under staff names.
My dealer said “I haven’t gotten my order yet either” hmmmmmm

Dang, I ordered a stock XLT Hybrid last September 15 and I see folks getting their hybrids scheduled who ordered the same day or later, and I got this email this afternoon. :
We know that you have been waiting for your 2023 Ford Maverick® since at least September, and we truly appreciate your patience.

The good news is that the key commodities holdups that have impacted the auto industry are easing up, allowing us to complete production on most Maverick orders with the 2.0L EcoBoost® engine. Unfortunately, battery availability continues to be an issue for Maverick orders with the 2.5L Hybrid engine. We would love to tell you how this will impact the order process for 2024 Maverick, but we’re still working through the details. We commit to getting you further details in July, either from us or directly from your dealer.

Please know that your 2023 Maverick order remains a priority. We will continue to schedule production through September and build through October.

Thank you again for your understanding throughout this process.

Think it's all coming down to dealer allocation. Good luck to you Vibes. Look forward to seeing your production email next 👍

Finally! I saw an order on dealer website that looked like my Maverick! No call from them! So called Ford! Yep, it’s mine! Gave me the $2,750.00 code and $100 gift card for merch (which hasn’t worked so far😂) but I have a Window Sticker!

My brother has a Ridgeline that I was able to recently drive for a couple of weeks. Nice ride and will be high on my list if for some reason the Maverick does not work out. Good Luck!
Funny - my brother also has a Ridgeline, and was trying to convince me to get one of those instead of the Maverick... I told him I do really like the Ridgeline, but it's too big to fit in my little garage, and I can't deal with the lousy fuel mileage - it gets worse mileage than my Chevy 2500 HD (Diesel) got. When I told him the Maverick Hybrid is rated for over 40 mpg in town, and 33 on the highway, but I'm averaging around 44-46 mpg in my mixed driving, he mockingly accused me of "stretching the truth"...

Early next month, I'll be picking him up at the airport, and he'll get to see for himself. It's gonna be fun to see his reaction to it. The only question is whether I'll still be driving the '22 Area 51 First Edition Lariat Hybrid, or if my '23 Cyber Orange Hybrid Lariat with BAP will arrive before that date... The dealer tells me it will be here between July 6 and July 12. My brother gets here on July 8...

You have to use desktop mode or a computer to get the gift card to work.

I am finally getting my email (for my Tremor)! However, it looks like they have it as Cactus Grey...I wanted Avalanche Grey. This may be a problem
Plenty of time to change the color. You can do so right up to the build date. So if you just got the letter, your dealer should be able to get that fixed for you in plenty of time. (But I would go in and sit with them while they make the change. Don't trust then to do it "over the phone" or via text message, since they've already screwed it up once!

Forgive me if someone else already asked this question, but I don't have time right now to read thru all 22 pages of this thread. I received an email from Ford that my truck was scheduled to be manufactured the week of June 5th. I didn't hear anything from them, so I figured everything was fine. On the 15th I get an email from Ford saying that "While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of June 5, 2023, supply chain challenges continue to cause delays and uncertainty". I went on the Ford website and it indicated that my truck is "In production" with a date of June 8. What does all this mean? Am I actually getting built or am I in limbo until they get whatever part is apparently constrained. My build is an xlt tremor with SIBL and CMS. No other added features.
Sounds like you ARE getting built. I had a similar "hiccup" in my order process, but once it showed "in production" it went smoothly after that. Mine is on its way, and should be here in a couple of weeks.

Hope you have the new one to show off. (y) Nothing like a new car scent. :) Have to let us know what your brother thinks once he actually gets to see the vehicle for himself.

My brother was interested in the Maverick, but he has a big frame and was unsure it would work for him, plus the availably was close to non-existent back when he was looking. The Ridgeline feels like a full-size truck inside, which I think was a big draw for him.

I'm hoping to get my XLT Hybrid in the middle of July myself. My brother lives north of Dallas, so once I have mine, I will have to stop by on one of our RV road trips and let him have a chance to actually drive ours around town to see what he thinks.

Thank you. I did check the status online and saw that it said "in production", but it was the email about the supply chain challenges that threw me off. It sounded like they were saying "sorry, but you're still not getting your truck". I didn't think it would take this long at the "in production" stage. Without constrained items, I've read it can take a few weeks, especially if you have a sibl. I guess I have cause to be optimistic, which is more than a lot of people on here can say.
Mine took six days from when it went into "In Production" status until it finally showed as "Built." And yes, I got the same "Dear John" letter after the build should have started according to the "schedule" as you did. I'm speculating that may well be an "automated" message any time a vehicle is taken off the assembly line "incomplete" for any reason. And IIRC, Mavericks have to leave the plant and be taken to a nearby facility for the spray-in liner, which is probably what was actually going on in that interim period... (There were a LOT of folks scheduled the same week I was that got the SIBL and Rails discount package like I did, so a slight backlog to get the SIBL done is not unreasonable, I suppose.)

When I got the "supply constraints" email, I was in a mild state of panic until I got the "Built" notice, followed less than 24 hours later by the "It has shipped" email (and tracker status). Hope by now, you've seen the same chain of events.

If 2024 MSRP has a large increase, the dealers will hit us with that increase? Don`t seem fair to buy a 2023 in 2022 and have to pay the price of a 2024.
Well, from what I'm seeing in the used market, you COULD opt for a used '22 and pay the 2029 price! They are still selling used for WAY above MSRP...
