📬 6/15/23 Scheduling Email Received Group [EMAILS NOW ARRIVING!]

Long time lurker first time poster. Did not receive Ford email as I'm in Canada but dealer messaged me.
This may have been from the May 15 scheduling based off Vin, but ford Canada chat told me unscheduled multiple times

I have NEVER received an email directly from Ford about my Maverick order. It was placed on 17 SEP 2022. The dealer forwarded a picture of a hard copy ""Customer Order Verification" page listing my tracking number (useless until/if I get a VIN), customer name, order date, and vehicle model listed.

Also, hand written on the page, is a number the salesman noted as Order Number.

I have called Ford over the past couple of months and have been able to confirm my order is real. The other thing that is definitely real is they are unable (Dealer/Salesman/Ford) to give me any actual status. The Form Marketing person has confirmed there has been "activity" around my vehicle but was unable to indicate what that activity was or how it impacts delivery.

Am I supposed to be receiving communication directly from Ford, or does that only commence once your order "is scheduled"?

I got an email from Ford two hours after i placed my order
I received 2 sorry no parts emails
in April I got email saying it will be built the week of 6/21

Just got an email. However, it looks like my dealer never updated my exterior paint choice! Anyone know if there is anyway to update the paint color when it's been scheduled?

my wife's XLT build date is Jul 24 with a VIN assigned. Dealer forgot to change our color even though we emailed a few times months before.
Called dealer and manager said he does not want to do it. He said he's seen some build date get change/delay/cancelled. I have no idea.

I haven't seen a post yet that hitches weren't constrained until this week. They still don't have enough, but the numbers are much, much better now.

This. Still a constraint, but much less of one. I had already removed the hitch on the order and I got the scheduling email, so too late to put it back on. But that's fine. I'm just very happy that it will, in fact, be built!

Well it wasn't listed on the constraints list this week. It may be constrained again next time. Lots of us with hitches got build dates yesterday!

I never received any e-mails from Ford either. Like you got a copy of the order. Did do a chat a few times and always got order received. Today was different and got a VIN number and production week. Still crickets from dealer. So try the chat and you might get some good news.

Just got off the phone with a Ford CSR for order status.

Order no longer in system. She checked further and determined mine was cancelled because dealer did not COVP my order.

Salesperson took my DL at time of order and in conversations with him several times since 9/17/2022 assured me COVP was done.

So sorry to hear that.

When I placed my Maverick order over the phone in September of '22, the salesperson said that COVP was not necessary for the '23 Maverick. Later, I emailed the sales manager and told them to do COVP regardless, and requested he send confirmation after it was done. He wrote back later and gave me Tracking and Authorization #s.

It's sad that the laws are so corrupt that Ford and other manufacturers can't sell their vehicles directly to the consumer. Most dealers can be trusted to do anything right.

I received a text from my dealer this morning. I was beginning to think that my 9/16/22 order would not get built this year. Needless to say, surprised and happy!

Interesting you got a 9/11 build date, scheduling was only supposed to be through week of 8/28/23.

Chat is on the ford.com web site under contact - on my computer, no chat link appears with firefox -try chrome or another browser.

Update. Take this for what it’s worth

Called Ford CS a second time this morning. Rep was very definitive that order cancelled no COVP. She said it’s sad after all this time I’ve waited. Dealer had sufficient advance notice to complete COVP by 6/2/2023. Although no word on 23-24 rollover and price protection at t this time, cancelled order eliminates any entitlement if Ford does offer something for unfulfilled MY23 orders.

Interesting that CSR Advised me if I wish to place a MY24 order, choose a single site high volume dealer. Read message that better to due business with a place where you’re just a number rather than family owned dealer that prioritizes long-time customers.

Talked to salesman today. Earlier this week order was previewed for production and he was shocked Ford cancelled. He claims they did COVP on the order. Sales manager in touch with Ford rep to to see if anything can be done.

I doubt anything will happen. If I hear any more will post an update.

I didn't get a chance to post this yesterday but my girlfriend and mine both got emails yesterday. We ordered the same day. We live about an hour apart so we both used local dealers. So psyched!
