I placed my order for a ‘23 Lariat Hybrid the morning order banks opened last year.
After months of no updates from Ford and reading not-so-hopeful articles on here about Hybrid production (or lack thereof), I had come to the assumption I wouldn’t ever see the truck.
On May 16th my dealer reached out to let me know my truck had been built (still never any updates from Ford), Thursday I was told it was delivered, and yesterday I drove it off the lot.
We happened to be traveling this weekend so the first trip was a 3-hour drive. Averaged just over 40mpg and my wife and I both loved the truck. Drives smooth, quietly, has more get-up than expected, sound quality is awesome, and the seats are way more comfortable than I could have imagined.
Now time to find a tri-fold and possibly a 2” lift (would prefer to sit a tad higher when driving on the highway to see ahead better). Good luck to everyone waiting!
