Had to comment on this. Went to the dealership today to deal with recall stuff and of course got approached to see if I would sell. (Anyone here have a newer Ranger they'd care to comment on - all the good, bad, and ugly? Considering for next time around, possibly.)

Anyway, any new Maverick that doesn't get picked up by owners who ordered them, you count on a $5000-$10,000 markup from the dealership. Salesman told me that the dealerships are so desperate for Mavericks, that they're buying them used anywhere they can find them and then tacking on $5000 on top of market price.
Good to know, kind of makes me wonder why these guys would basically give away $5000 on this truck? I mean I am in no way paying a nickel over MSRP, but lots of other people are willing. If my order still comes in I will definitely buy it. However I will say I was pretty happy with Valley Ford in Columbus.

Customer loyalty is that a ford thing? How do you qualify?
It was a thing, repeated buys from Ford within a certain timeframe. It may be a dealer thing. I used the same dealer.

The 2024’s are going to be a s-show. Dealers are going to pay friends and family to place hybrid orders so they can get as many as possible to mark up. Even more people that place a legit order will get screwed next year.

Just got offered I assume what is a loaded hybrid lariat 33,900.

They have alleged to me that this is sticker price. My original "clean unscheduled' /S order comes in at about 27. I don't love the color combo on this truck they are offering, and the extra $6,000 sure feels like a lot of money but am I crazy to turn this down?

Since I did not get scheduled this most recent batch I was thinking I would likely not get my truck in MY 2023.

What say you?

WHAT SAY YOU!!??
That price should be about right. When I ordered my Lariat hybrid December 2021 (I'm still waiting) I ordered pretty much everything but the moonroof. That is about what the order figured up at. I know there has been a price increase, but since it is a 2021 original order, that's about what I expect to pay. There shouldn't be too much missing, but you won't know until you look at it.

Honestly this would not surprise me. I mean next year if Mavs are still going for at minimum several grand over sticker it would make sense for lots of people to at least try it.

However do we know how much ford is raising the price on 2024's yet?

Not really. Don't forget that Ford tracks COVP conversion. If too many orders aren't being sold to the person that it was ordered in the name of then it can supposedly affect that dealers' allocations potentially even for other high value vehicles.

I'm not saying dealers WILL do this, but since COVP is not even required by Ford when placing orders for Mavericks (at least since Sept 15, 2022 when the '23 order window opened), how could Ford possibly track COVP conversions?

One of my two orders was transferred to my name after the OO (original orderer) cancelled 24 hours after placing the order. (I guess the wife didn't allow him to go through with it?) They just changed his name to my name, and switched it to my email. It is now scheduled for July delivery.

Other than the tax, title and license and the $2,700 private offer, and $500 discount for Ford loyalty and no ADM or surprises, mine came out just above $37,000.00 for comparison and from the sticker, you can see what’s on it.

As requested!

looks just like mine. Very nice. The Area 51 will grow on you. I went Velocity and then changed it to Area 51 because I didn't want that really vibrant blue. Then was worried that it would look gray from all the photos I was seeing. But it in bright light, it's a sky blue color. In dim light is when it shows its gray tones.

Lariats bore the biggest brunt of pricing increases between the model years. ~$3365 increase between comparable Lariat w/ Luxury package. Although some of the decontenting from the luxury package like making the spray-in bedliner or remote start separate did come with a commensurate price decrease.

My 2022 Lariat hybrid with everything but moon roof and toneau cover was 32,495.00 MSRP with the two price increases that theyhave had 33,900 would be about right if it is fully loaded
