Subwoofers, who's done what?

I got my Maverick loaded from the start. Love my B&O system but would like to add a sub. Looking for suggestions.
Anyone looking to suggest replacing or just bad mouthing the B&O, will be ignored or removed.

Welcome to the forums as it appears you've just recently joined or started posting. This isn't Facebook and you probably will not get trolled as that seems like you are expecting.

You have 3 high level options.
1. Visit local shops and buy something from the one you like, sells the brands you know, or fits your budget. If they have experience adding to Ford B&O then it doesn't matter if they have worked on a Maverick. They can do it for sure.

2. Install your own powered sub. Many threads. Search.

3. Build and install your own custom enclosure. I quoted options for shops and then did this. Here's my thread which is a mid priced high performance sub and an inexpensive amp with self tuning, basically untweakable DSP. I believe you can't do better on this budget and cheaper isn't better, and better costs a whole lot more. But there's lots of options.

Sound decisions in Racine Wisconsin makes a sub box as well, just got pictures and they look pretty nice, it fits 10's and has 7" depth, they have a single and dual

Thanks, but I've actually been on here for over a year. Just don't post much, but I read allot.

Yes it is, I have contacted them as I think I am going to go a different route than i originally planned.
The box itself is $500 plus shipping. I have yet to get a shipping quote from them just yet.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a quote for $100 to ship the single sided version and $150-200 on a pallet for the two sided. Still, Chris Hilbert's boxes look fantastic.

The shipping for the dual box to Texas was only around 25 - 30 actually, so not horrible at all. It was actually my first question to them as I was thinking the same thing

I've got a JBL WS1000 in an Atrend 10AME downfiring enclosure behind the driver's seat. The mounting hole is a bit on the tight side so you'll likely need to be prepared to open it up for most subwoofers. It does compromise a small amount of rearward seat travel but is perfect for my seating position. As a bonus crank the bass up and throw on something high-BPM for built-in seat massager.

I'm almost 50yrs old, don't need to rattle the neighborhood.
But I was disappointed the dealer didn't get the upgraded stereo transferred from our 22 order to our 2023 truck.

in my old minivan (kept it between front seats) and in the passenger foot area of my Miata and it is AMAZING how much sound it makes from the tiniest power wires! It won't vibrate the rearview mirror but adds plenty of sound to the vehicle. I plan to get one for Mav hopefully soon, should fit behind rear seat no issues.

I’m in the process of building my first box ever for my maverick. I wanted to do 3/4” MDF but I wouldn’t get the cu ft so had to do 1/2” MDF. Here’s what I came up with. It’s 7.5” high and will be putting in my 10” sundown SD sub. Still gotta cutout the sub hole and I’ll be doing another piece of mdf on the top to finish everything off. Here’s some pics

actually, this forum isn't like facebook at all. messages are archived into subject group categories and the search function works quite well... use the search function and you will find a plethora of posts submitted by folks who've already done research and applied solutions. there are soo my options, but you need to put forth a little effort and intiate a search.
