I appreciate the information in your post. Your humorous comment made me smile. I will utilize your tip about protecting the trim with tape. I do not want to scratch any of the trim in this project.I'm not sure if I call it a fun projectWhen using the plastic prying tools I would use lots of duck or blue tape to cover the area where the plastic prying touches....the plastic trim really scratches easily.
Let me know if you have any questions about how I routed the wires removing the trim pieces. Also, I mounted the rear camera on the top drivers side corner. You could place it in the center but I wanted the wires completely hidden....with a rear sliding window it didn't allow me to really hide the wire the way I wanted it.
