I really like the Velocity blue much better. I was super bummed when I found out I had to change after I ordered 2 Mav's both Velocity. Then dealer broke the news, no velocity - I originally said ok: XLT silver, and XL white. Then when I could see the new colors, I switched them both to Atlas Blue. I guess it's a decent color, but I really wanted Velocity Blue.
Your truck looks awesome! Maybe the black appearance package makes the Atlas look darker, still a sweet ride!
My Dakota is "Patriot Blue" which is a metallic Navy Blue. I have lived with that for the past 20 years, but back when I bought in New, they discontinued the lighter metallic blue the year before. (talk about history repeating it's self)

Arguably the blue colors the Maverick has are not at all blend in material. Everyone comments on how mine pops out.

Drive down the interstate. It's all black, white, or silver. Maybe some red. Blue just isn't out there so it is noticed.
