I think they look like crap - but like @bgn said - no topper is winning a beauty contest.

For as bad as they look - I love the utility/flexibility they offer - primary the easy stow and go in under the tonneau cover and then also the ability to ride it in safari mode for the 4 legged friends or just a day out in the woods and wanting a shady refuge.

It does look functional but you failed to mention the cost, how it priced compared to the softopper
The soft topper model comes in at 949.00 One piece unit only no tonneau included

The fas top is 1199.00

So $250 price difference which is completely justified considering you get a.
Tonneau cover included
And the functionality of switching between the two easily.

Here's the additional pic you requested.

Takes off about 5 and 1/2 in in the front

If you zoom in you can see the two pins and cutter key when you remove that The whole unit slips right off.

Ford Maverick Fas-Top Soft Top installed... hate it or love it ? This thing is awesome for work PXL_20230331_234032191

Just passed 11k on my 3 - it needs a new upper control arm.

Besides that - my two chief complaints are lack of interior space (I have 3 kids under 8) and the incredibly harsh ride.

The lack of interior space is not the 3's fault - it is what it is - I just underestimated how much I'd have all 3 kids with me. In fact, it is those short 5 minute rides that kill me because I spend more time getting them buckled in and situated.

The ride is comically harsh to me but at least it is a trade off for just absolutely killer handling. I feel that the harsh (and silent) ride contributes to the "squeaks and rattles" that everyone complains about. I found that my rattles are from two things - the doors moving against the large weather stripping, and my rear seat back/latches have the quality of a late 80s Chevy but they don't really bug me.

I'm confident Tesla will fix the UCA - there are dozens of forum posts and discussions - it is a known issue.

Otherwise, it's been a real joy to own and my napkin math has me average about $0.045-$0.05/mi to fuel - a far cry from the 119eMPG it is supposed to get it but that is real world calculations of my cost per mi. That is roughly 75mpg @ $3.50/gal and 0-60 in 3.7sec (I have the acceleration boost) is pretty alright.

This is sounding like the Tesla Motor Club forum...almost. Sorry about the control arms...I have heard about that, and yeah, for a family with 3 kids..not gona work. Maybe a Y.
We still love our 3, but plan on doing what we did before we got it...Traveling to Eastern Oregon to explore ( gravel or dirt roads, and no charging stations for a long ways)
Have had the Maverick for 4 days now...love the feel of it and the Tesla won't be getting as many miles on it.

No drilling holes anywhere in the installation I presume?

Only 4 clamps total to hold it down? Any issues with leaks especially by the cab? I think I would prefer 6 clamps like my existing soft tonneau.

Thanks for your post. I saw a video of it yesterday. I really like the versatility that this cover provides.
