Tonight’s livestream during the Q&A @fordvideoguy mentioned that the hybrid mix went up to 40%. he said we just talked about it but I couldn’t find any other mention of this during the stream or anywhere else. Anyone else hear this? Good news for hybrid folks?
Wait, what? Ford actually changed their projections over time as new information obviously became available to them? Some people were convinced Ford deliberately took far more orders than they KNEW they could ever fulfill for nefarious reasons. Maybe not? 🤷‍♂️

A 5% bump in hybrids over a few months in the summer will still leave tens of thousands of hybrid orders unfilled.

Better than nothing. Unscheduled Hybrid retail orderers need any W that they can get.

Also a question someone said because my Maverick hybrid was just the base model that I only have like a 15% chance of getting it has anybody

That’s because they said XL was 15% of all orders; not sure if they mean all retail or all production. There’s been evidence of a ton of fleet xls being produced.

I have a XLT Hybrid order with Lux package, ordered MY23 last Sept when the order bank opened. I am getting to the point I am seriously considering switching to EcoBoost because I need a truck more than the 10mpg improvement.

But this news brings new hope, or do you guys think switching to EB might be a better choice in my case? I can still switch with same price?

Thanks!
Ordered Nov 8 2021. Still waiting. 17 months is getting ridiculous

Do you have constraints on your order like mudflaps?

You are correct that Ford said only 15 percent of orders would be for the XL. I also have an XL on order, but changed it to ecoboost back in December. Ford also encouraged customers to switch to XLT back in December for a better chance of getting a 2023 Maverick. There have been some XL hybrids produced, but I can't tell you how many. Like others have said on this forum, many XL's have been sold to fleet customers.

I've had my 2022 ecoboost for a week now and I couldn't image not having an ecoboost. I love the power from the turbo!
It's just hard to ignore the great gas mileage that the hybrid gets. It's about 12 miles per gallon better overall. EPA estimates are 25 for the ecoboost and 37 for the hybrid.

I wonder if it's too late to change now

I believe you can change any time before getting scheduled, but changing trim or engine will put you at the back of the line.

Now they just need to edge that 40% to 70% by next year and all will be right for 2024.
