I did not, but now I think I regret that decision. We have the soft covers at work that are a pain to deal with. However, I’d like to utilize the bed without exposing everything to the elements.

wonder if it’s too late to make changes on orders?
Check with your dealer, all accessories are dealer installed and shipped to them. If a VIN has not been issued you can cancel it or upgrade.

I currently have a TruXedo TruXport rollup on my Colorado. It has held up well and is easy to use.
I had an Extang Fulltilt on a 2000 Frontier (similar size bed to Maverick) that was easy to remove and reinstall.

I will likely opt for a soft tonneau for my Maverick. They have always provided adequate weather protection and I've never had an issue with security.
When I was researching for my Colorado, I had planned on a tri-fold, but many reviews on TacomaWorld and ColoradoFans forums indicated too many issues (e.g. warping, water saturation).

Good to know. Soft tonneau or rollup seems best if that is the case?

I was considering it (I like the look of the ranger hard roll-up with the ford logo showing when rolled), but decided to wait. I'll have my ford pass money from the maverick and still have my ranger ford pass money so that will be $400 towards accessories anyway.

I'm thinking about a soft topper, those are interesting and I'm sure there will be a maverick version!

They're all sold, waiting for Maverick

Soft roll up on mine. By the time the Maverick arrives it will more than likely be winter, I want immediate protection from snow and rain. I think it’s going to be quite some time before the aftermarket starts making covers. They’ll wait to see if Maverick sales justify engineering and manufacturing costs. Unless Ford allows the OEM to sell it under their own brand.

is this an established fact with 100% accuracy in all cases or folklore spread around enough that everyone assumes it is true in every case? I haven't always been impressed with work done on my vehicles by dealer service departments. Some of the employees I see working there nowadays, I'm not sure I want them doing more than an oil change and tire rotation. I live in a small rural town with 1 Ford dealer and not sure how equipped they are to do something like a bedliner. I speced out the spray in liner mostly for this reason assuming it was done at the factory.

According to my dealer it's a factory-installed option. Dealer installed is things like floor mats.

Indications from dealers I've spoken with have indicated it's a factory install as well.

I ordered the tri fold hard tonneau. It should carry some weight.
My first truck - so I'm here for the opinions of others, but I did ask at the dealer, and all the cover options they offer are easy installs at the dealership. So I have time to research the pros and cons of different versions. The package I ordered has a spray in liner. They did say that some folks don't add that and decide to get it later, end up not getting it and can regret it. So bed liner decision before the Tonneau cover. I knew i wanted the liner, because the FlexBed is what sold me. I have so many ideas.

Short 4 min vid just about the box.

The Berliner that is sprayed in is done at the factory, unsure about drop in. Call your Salesmanager and inquire, when I visited dealer to go over order he said all accessories are shipped to dealer for installation. The items I inquired about were the locking latch , mud flaps, roll up and fold up cover and mats. I was interested to know when another forum member said his order would be held up because he ordered mud flaps as to why if it is dealer installed.

Anyone looking at the one-piece hard one? I had a hard tonneau on my Tundra a decade ago and it was strong? 'Was matched to the truck paint. Are all the new tonneau black, or does the hard one come in paint to match the body? And does anyone know about what the one-piece one is likely to weigh? I'm wondering if my wife and I could take it off if we need to.

I was at a local dealer last week with my wish list. From what I have read if you plan on ordering accessories that are factory installed it may hold up your order. May rethink the accessories and have them ordered and installed at dealer as another member has said Ford Pass credits will pay for many and it may be a bargaining position
at dealer. As other have said with the supply chain issues I don,t expect many deliveries before November.
