Carlisle is in southcentral Pennsylvania, west of Harrisburg.

From Ottawa (do I have that right?) it’s a straight shot south on Interstate 81 from the border, about a 7-hr drive.

Should have! Thought briefly about it, but by then it was dark.

It was just two Mavericks — @Bry@n and my husband and me — on a very windy night at a Dunkin’ Donuts that kicked us out when they closed at 7 p.m.

Cold night, but warm conversation.. We enjoyed meeting @Bry@n very much and hearing his tales of truck and car ownerships over the years.

We talked over some Maverick mods he’s done and we’re contemplating … and he offered a helping hand with some that I might find a little intimidating. (Like wiring an inverter and 120v outlet in the bed, which we’d like to do someday.)

Now, someone schedule a spring weekend get- together! Doesn’t have to be in Delaware Water Gap — Somehow that just got suggested.

Thanks Kim. I looked it up on the map and saw that it was a good drive down route 81S. Nice leisurely drive for an old man like me. Hope to be there.

FOR THOSE WATCHING THIS THREAD ...

I've just posted a new thread inviting everyone to a Maverick Truck Club gathering at the huge three-day Ford show, June 2-4, in Carlisle, Pa.

MAVERICK TRUCK CLUB at CARLISLE FORD NATIONALS

This does NOT take the place of the need to have an informal regional "cars and coffee" type gathering somewhere in the spring.

But my contact at Carlisle Events, who is running the Ford show, got back to me yesterday to say he will give our group FREE use of a 10x10 tent on the showfield IF we can get 25 Mavericks to register under "Maverick Truck Club" by April 18.

I'm hoping — and expecting — we can get that many of us to sign up, for it would be an awesome weekend.

Welcome! We’ll get an informal spring PaJerseyside meet scheduled soon … (Someone want to get on that?)
