NY/ NJ/ PA Tri-state meetup

Hey everyone,

Looking to see if anybody would like to have a meetup in the spring. I know it's early but usually scouting out an area is a little harder depending on the amount of people interested in coming. There is a local Cars N Coffee that would be cool for a bunch of Mav's to show up at.

Maybe we could call the meetup Mav's and Coffee? lol

That would be cool if enough Maverick owners are interested. I am in the Pocono's not far from Route 80. Where is the Cars N Coffee meetup located?

Hey, I think we must have seen your cyber orange Mav on Main Street in Stroudsburg a couple of months ago. We just got our Area 51 XLT two weeks ago, but before then, we had only had brief glimpses of a couple of Mavs in the wild, and few around here.

In addition to yours, I nowI know of two others that seem to live around here, as I’ve seen them a couple of times. One white, and one black.

That is quite possible. I took delivery Dec 2nd. I have seen an Area 51 XLT heading home from work one day and we waved at each other.

I have only spotted one other in the wild on 209 by McDonalds and WaWa. It would be really cool to start a Maverick Club in our area. I am currently a member of Past, Present and Future car club that meets at the local VFW.

The Deleware Water Gap would also be a good place. Not sure if the Hotel would let us use the parking lot or not.

The Pa. Welcome Center in Delaware Water Gap, just off I-80 Exit 310, would be a good spot. It’s the most un-Pocono-looking olace in the Poconos (Modern white square building and these weird sail-like things on the roof), but lots of parking always., and good bathrooms.

There’s a Dunkin’ Donuts just about next door (other side of the highway interchange) … or even better, a great local place just up the road called the Village Farmer and Bakery, which makes excellent muffins and other tasty stuff.

(Unfortunately, they don’t have great parking there.)

But if someone wants to work on setting a date, and get an idea of how many people would show up, we could pick up a Dunkin’ Box of Joe , some doughnuts and muffins, and set up a table, weather permitting, in the welcome center parking lot.

Or people could, just get their own. But since we live in Delaware Water Gap, wouldn’t be a problem for us to set up.

I'm familiar with the Welcome Center. You are right; always plenty of parking and clean bathrooms!

I'd be up for it. Maybe a Saturday in April?

Cool. I suggest the Pa. Welcome Center, (see my other post) which has a big lot. Hotel would be better visibility, and the Dunkin’ is there, but don’t know who owns it and if they’d be accommodating.

If Rt 611 between DWG and Portland was open, one of the DWG Nat’l Rec Area parking lots would be a great place. Maybe in the fall, if they reopen the road by then.

I'd be interested if you all met a little further south. I'm in Northern Virginia. We down here are meeting April 25th in central Virginia at Dominion Speedway.

I think the OP was reponding to your original question about where the Cars ‘n’ Coffee (CnC) is located.

@Bry@n, that’s not too specific. But do you mean it moves around different places in central New Jersey? But some town names would be helpful…

I am close by the water gap sign me up. Where I live we used to have a place called the Chatterbox. Car themed drive in restaurant? Incredible cruise nights there. However they tore it down and put in a WaWa. It's WaWas most northern location.
